CELEBRATE JACKSON COUNTY FELONY FORGIVENESS FOR JOB APPLICATIONS!!!

A nationwide movement to thwart discrimination against ex-cons has earned just a bit more progress in local government.

Here's the latest bit of local progress . . .

Jackson County job applicants no longer required to disclose criminal history

Deets:

"County Executive Frank White notified the county legislature of his signed executive order at Monday’s legislative meeting in downtown Kansas City . . . The Jackson County resolution does not prevent county hiring managers from performing a background check, or from asking about an applicant’s criminal history in a job interview. The “ban the box” movement claims that convicted felons are unfairly screened out of consideration for employment when they are forced to disclose their criminal history up front."

And so . . .

LIKE IT OR NOT, BY UNILATERAL ACTION FRANK WHITE OFFERS A BIT OF HELP FOR FELONS WANTING A COUNTY JOB!!!

This will either help or hurt his career should he plan to run again.

You decide . . .

  1. We have a sex offender registry, but rapists can now work for your government. Gotta love the sense of that!!!

  2. A really obvious move to pack the courthouse with negroes since you can't find one who hasn't raped, murdered, robbed, stolen, molested, shot, knifed or otherwise been in prison.

  3. This is a great way to please two constituencies: felons, and trial lawyers who will sue the county for big bux when the felons predictably turn violent and hurt people. White's primary constituency, the citizens of Jackson County, don't matter.

  4. Just when you might think that the standards of competence, integrity, and performance couldn't possibly get any lower, along comes stupidity and pandering like this to prove you wrong.
And all at the public's expense.
A government you can really be proud of.

  9. So if Jackson County won't give jobs to felons, it means most of the people who live inJackson County can't have Jackson County jobs.

    Reality can be pathetic.

  10. Local government is going to hire blacks no matter what. That is because the ranks of local bureaucrats are filled with blacks who take care of each other. Hell just go to a county office and sit there while ALL the blacks are taken care of before you and you will get it.

In that culture you have convicted felons and the unconvicted felons. It isn't the conviction. It is the behaviour. Until we force the black community to accept civic responsibility and accountability before we dump billions of handouts in front of them the culture will never see the reward in acting like grown ups. Instead lets just continue to allow our elected officials to pander and forgive the very criminals who have brought core cities to the point they are.
