TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! LEE'S SUMMIT COUNCILMAN MORENO REAX AGAINST 'GUTTER POLITICS' & RECALL THREAT!!!
A political fight in the suburbs continues and we reached out the Councilman for comment regarding his detractors . . . And their recall effort announced today. Here's his response:
Statement On Recall Effort From Lee's Summit Councilman Chris Moreno:
"I am focused on issues facing the 4th District, not the gutter politics of this small group of people that has been trashing me and my family since I decided to run for office. Their claims of "misconduct" have been rejected by the Ethics Commission. After being rejected there, they filed a complaint with the Attorney General, who ruled that my one email (which failed to copy the clerk) was not a violation of state law.
I can assure you, I am not going to resign because I have done nothing wrong. More voters elected me to City Council in April than any contested candidate in Lee's Summit. I look forward to the opportunity to talk with voters about my accomplishments in just 6 short months. There are many."

Anyone who gets support from the FOP is likely to win the district. But if the candidate lacks the sophistication of issuing contracts then he's finished as a politician.
