It didn't take long for the baseball legend, charm and charisma of Jackson County Exec Frank White to fade as scandal and ensuing frustration with his administration have already taken hold.

To wit . . .

Of course, top ranking honchos can appoint who they want . . . But this word from insiders reveals widespread courthouse frustration along with concern from workers about this power move.

In fairness, Mr. Clifford did serve as a courthouse prosecutor so he it's not like he's unfamiliar with important decisions but word at 12th & Oak is that he's meeting unexpected resistance now that he's no longer a part of the prison industrial complex and given Exec White's surprising managerial disinterest . . .

Caleb Clifford now rules Jackson County

Here's a look at the County's new organizational chart that was just sent out. This is totally f-ing insane! People over there are losing their minds with fear of this guy. I hate to say it, but the STAR simply refuses to cover anything negative about Frank . . .



In what is an historic abandonment of his job responsibilities,Frank White has just appointed Caleb Clifford as the new puppet dictator of Jackson County. Every department in the Frank White administration now has to report directly to Clifford, and not the County Executive.

For those following along, Clifford is a person with NO FORMAL TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE in management and has risen through the ranks as a hired political flack. Something like this has NEVER happened before, and may even violate the County's Charter which REQUIRES that the Executive himself manage the departments personally. It's been clear for some time that Frank White has very little aptitude or desire to do the job and has been mailing it in for some time now.

But nobody saw this coming as he has now just punted all of his charter and job responsibilities to a person who may be the most ineffective and despised person in Jackson County government. And that's saying a something. Dark days at the courthouse.
