SHAME!!! OUR KANSAS CITY FREE SPEECH BLOG COMMUNITY BLOCKED BY SKETCHY AIRPORT WI-FI AMID NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL LOAN SCHEME CRASH AND BURN!!!
First and foremost, the most important thing about this post is to remind readers that behind the scenes the push for the new single-terminal is still going strong despite the promises to listen to voters and public opinion polling which rejects the effort to raise airfare prices with a shady loan scheme and screw-up Kansas City's convenient facility.
Now for a bit of fun . . .
THANKS TO THE EFFORT OF CONSULTANTS AND OTHER POLITICAL CREEPS . . . THE AIRPORT HAS ONCE AGAIN BLOCKED OUR KANSAS CITY FREE SPEECH ZONE IN THE MIDST OF OUR CRITICISM OF SILLY CITY HALL MCI PLANS!!!
Here's the word . . .
"We're waiting in the Bar at KCI. Thought I'd get a update from our favorite and most prolific Kansas City Blogger because when it breaks on TKC, its picked up by the lame-stream media two days later. Imagine our surprise to get a message on the laptop screen that your blog site is BLOCKED by the Airport's free Wifi. Apparently KCI isn't a free speech zone when it comes to reading TKC! So on top of all the new airport, single terminal politics, TKC's site apparently doesn't pass muster. Keep up the great work!"
Now, we've talked about this with airport folks before . . . They're always very nice and accommodating and then a couple of months later our readers will continue to report the airport wi-fi block.
Some say it's because of our penchant to celebrate scantily clad babes in reference to our popular culture, to pique interest in the local discourse and simply because eye-candy is important...
But we don't buy it.
Once again the airport is in play and only our blog community challenges the assumptions of City Hall that wants to ruin the facility without delving into a boring policy debate but instead focusing on all the jerky consultants in Kansas City who continue to profit from bankrupting this town.
Also, as high speed gigabit Internets becomes ubiquitous even over the air . . . Public wifi is an increasingly risky option and we trust our AWESOME TKC COMMUNITY to continue criticism of this disastrous plan by any means necessary . . . i.e. mobile hotspot.

* The old airport is ugly and inconvenient.
* The old airport costs Kansas City tourists and visitors.
* The new airport will create jobs and economic growth.
Let's move into the 21st century, please.
Waiting on this airport just means it'll cost more in the long run. If we start now and all agree that improving KC is the way to go then we can get over this unproductive fighting and get this thing going.

Sly isnt going to stop until the streetcar is extended and the airport knocked down and rebuilt. Nothing to do with what the citizens want or what's good for Kansas City. Companys, religious institutions, hospitals, the feds and schools all over the metro are blocking TKC too. They are boycotting Tony's own censorship and lack of free speech efforts.
