The old GM cars that were so easy to steal are now mostly gone. Thugs are too stupid figure out how to steal newer cars so now they just point a gun. They get to ride around in a new car for a few hours at the risk of spending a few years in prison if caught. Seems like their risk/reward calculations are a bit skewed.
