Craig Glazer: Does Trump Have One More Comeback Left? Is It Too Late!?!
The numbers look very bad for Donald Trump. He is trailing Hillary Clinton by 5 to 9 points with under a month to go before the election. The media is clearly behind Hillary and has been all along. Now with the 'naughty' words tapes out on Donald, it gets worse. Many leading Republicans, who weren't in his corner to begin with, starting with Paul Ryan are either down on Donald or gone. So Trump is now fighting with his own parties leaders. It's a real mess out there for both sides.
E-mails and leaks are coming out against Clintons relationship with the Justice Department, down on Catholics, on and on..what a reality show extravaganza. TV ratings for Fox and CNN are at an all time high and staying there. The election on the tube has taken big numbers away even from the NFL and top rated shows as well as keeping people home more at night to see the latest. It's unreal.
What is the reality? Donald Trump has been a billionaire playboy most of his adult life, he loves the ladies, look at his marriages. Trump was not running for office when he played Joe Cool on shows like Howard Stern and Hollywood Access. His comments are likely far below other presidents thoughts behind closed doors, ala John Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson. In those days there were no social media outlets or so many talk shows and so on...so it was all hush, hush. NOT ANYMORE. Be that as it may, Trump's uphill battle is now massive. It's the smart mouth vs. the political power machine. Usually the machine wins. In a sense Trump is now Bernie Sanders in many ways. He has a grass roots following that is huge and motivated. They want a new Washington and believe Trump will get that done. Clinton seems nearly bullet proof, the main stream media wants her to win and just for the most part leaves her alone and rails on Donald.
Like Sanders, Trump draws bigger crowds, doesn't believe the polls and we see the excitement around him, not her. However Bernie got whipped in the end. Was it kinda fixed against Sanders? Yes. Is it fixed against Trump. Yes. In the end Hillary Clinton will almost surely win the election. Does Trump still have a chance? Not much. However if anyone can beat the odds its him. He has before. This time he is up against a machine with the Clintons the likes of which we have never seen.
If she wins will she make life hell for Trump? I think not. She will likely never want to hear his name again. Again Trump will return to a nice life and family as America's most famous man. Like him or not. Will her presidency change your life, likely not much. So enjoy the show, don't start hating on each other for who picks who. The ride is near an end then its back to football, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

ReplyDeleteIf Trump tells his people that the election is rigged, expect a lot of bad things to happen. These are not the kind of people who can take things in stride. They're lashing out at the rallies and ready to fight.
The debate doesn't stop with a narrow Hillary victory. If she doesn't beat him by at last 7 points then we're talking about some major turmoil that will make Bush vs. Gore seem like a walk in the park.
So, does Craig think that the election is "rigged" against Trump?

No one asked her what she meant by "take back", or more importantly, what she meant by "our country". She was disavowing democracy. That the majority of Americans had voted for Obama was unimportant? ReplyDeleteNothing was rigged against Sanders. The DNC didn't want an Independent to win the Democratic Nomination. Duh. But, that doesn't mean anyone cheated. Nothing is "rigged" against Trump, either. That's just paranoia. A recent study found 90% of Americans believe in conspiracy theories that have been debunked. That's not surprising in a culture that believes in UFO's, Ancient Aliens, Big Foot, ghosts, curses, luck, karma, Atlantis, Tarot Cards, Astrology, Invisible Sky Gods, etc. All of these 'beliefs' represent a failure of education, which is confirmed by every test that shows American Students scoring poorly when compared with students from other countries.
Clinton will win because she is trying to be inclusive. Trump will lose because he is being exclusive. Clinton is the most qualified person since WWII to run for President. Trump has zero qualifications. No reasonable person will vote for Trump.
Please educate yourself beyond wishful thinking. Wikileaks proved media collusion and systematic rigging of the primary.

ReplyDelete@1:25 you're repeating propaganda. We moved from KC to Utah 2 years ago. The supposed Utah poll showing a tie between candidates was conducted by the Deseret News, which is OWNED by the Mormon Church and has been attacking Trump nonstop for months.
ReplyDeleteTalk to my LDS neighbors 1-on-1 in private. They'll tell you (very quietly) that they're voting for Trump, regardless what the Mormon church hierarchy is telling. It's akin to many Catholics using birth control, despite what the official church position is.
Byron, I'm not voting for either of the two major candidates, but the media are clearly against Trump, just as they were against Howard Dean (remember the "scream?") and are against Gary Johnson (we get the soundbites on Aleppo and the foreign leaders he didn't remember he admired, but that's about all we get--heaven forbid he gets to participate in a debate so we could actually learn more about his positions, with which many of us would agree).

I shudder to think of him as President, at least the mold of party politics may have been broken, if only to show the true Republican party. He has been a reality star before the internet. His buildings, his appearances on TV, radio and movies since the 1980's actually predate TMZ, FB, Twitter, and the culture any attention is worth what ever it costs.
Thankfully I live in Kansas and won't have to make the decision. Kansas will go red. I will vote 3rd party as usual in a small fruitless protest.
