Fear rule this tiny stretch of Kansas City rail transit.
Here's the warning . . .
KMBZ: Costumes are okay, but no one will be allowed to wear masks while they're riding, said Donna Mandelbaum, Streetcar Communications Manager.
"Masks are not permitted on the streetcar for safety and security reasons," Mandelbaum said. "The exception would be for young children or if masks are part of some religious customs."
Streetcar ambassadors and Kansas City police officers will be on board the streetcars this weekend to enforce the policy, Mandelbaum said.
Sadly, public safety on this route earns a great deal of protection whist Kansas City working-class residents riding the bus throughout the rest of the city are left to fend for themselves despite scary circumstances this weekend and throughout the remainder of the year.

That's being unfair against people of this town. If women care wear burqa's then anyone else should be allowed during the Halloween season to wear a mask. So is Santa not going to be allowed to ride due to his beard covering his face? Stupidity at it's finest.

ReplyDeleteWe don’t have enough police officers on the street to prevent violent crimes, but guess there are enough to enforce silly streetcar polices.
