Today's Friday lesson in irony . . . Big bucks to study tax breaks. A suggestion that agrees with the expenditure in principal:
"The sheer amount of money being diverted away from important city services makes this an important area for the city to examine."

ReplyDeleteCitizens against virtually everything. Don't agree with them or their strategy. They simply want to stop KC's progress.
Dang people wanting to question City Hall. If only they'd just learn to passively obey!!
DeleteWhat about the trolls who keep saying you're taking a check from these people Tony, is it true?
ReplyDeleteCheck their 990s, go check the Missouri ethics commission and see if my name comes up. They're a public group and they accept and contributions along with expenditures.
DeleteI agree with a lot of what they say but I haven’t ever taken money from them.
If anybody can find evidence that I have, then please SHOW ME!!! Would love to call Rex Sinquefield a deadbeat.
Sadly, the comments claiming that I do take Show-Me cash are just standard trolling that can't really debate the issue and would rather stalk me. Can't say I blame them, our blog community is much more interesting than snooze economic policy slap fighting.
hahahaha, nice try. We all KNOW you're SMI'S LITTLE BITCH. Bought and paid for.
DeleteDon't you have a job to do, trolley boy? Or is this it?
ReplyDeletePatsy told me he gives you cash. He tells everybody. it's the worst kept secret in town.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't expect a think tank connected with ALEC to be ethical would you? The American Legislative Exchange Council? No wonder nobody takes you seriously.
ALEC is a corporate bill mill. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills.
Nice try however.
Take your meds. There is no conspiracy. You're just a Hillary Clinton troll without any facts, just speculation. At least Tony shares his love for hot bitches and stupid jokes. You're just political trash.
Delete@1:51 = the mayor's bitch.
Delete^^^^+1
ReplyDelete(1) Trolley boy don't need no stinkin' facts.
ReplyDelete(2) Can you imagine Patrick Tuohey giving trolley boy the time of day?
Pencil, paper, adding machine - $350,000... nice gig.
ReplyDeleteSo Tony gets bent out of shape when someone spreads lies about him? That's rich.
ReplyDeleteIf it ain't the pot calling the kettle black I don't know what is.
I don't really think he was bent out of shape. It was just easy to disprove. I think if TK was getting cash from them, he wouldn't be able to call them nerds aND number crunchers.
DeleteWe've conclusively heard he is.
ReplyDeleteSo, he is!
Who needs proof?
Not Tony!
Not us.
We can accuse him of fucking children if we want.
Tony has not rigged an election, trolley boy.
ReplyDeleteShow-Me Institute can back up what they say with numbers and data. They're right about subsidies and councilman like Quinton Lucas are taking their advice and working for reform.
ReplyDeleteOnly liberal rats are lucking in the dark and making up lies about their opposition.
It's all entertaining but not very productive, the real work of policy is handled by more serious people.
KC needs tax reform. Not another damn hotel.
ReplyDelete^^^^And we all KNOW you're veracity-challenged, trolley boy.
ReplyDeleteToot toot. Trolley boy has his own facts. Hoot. Clunk.
ReplyDeletecity hall and jack county have bought and paid for the star and sent them toward bankruptcy, so i see their frustration.
