  1. walking tours are fine and dandy

But there probably won't be much talk about the private mail-in ballot or how much this thing is going to cost.

They're walking for good vibes and that's nice but KCMO has already been taken for a ride on this deal.

  2. Credit to these folks. At least they're serious about improving midtown, our council gave up on it years ago and the high crime that Tony is talking about is the result.

  3. Wear wear comfortable shoes?

More like galoshes because all of the "information" is going to be piled high and deep even with good weather.

  4. What part of the voters saying we don't want this damn thing do these clowns not understand?

  5. "Credit to these folks. At least they're serious about improving midtown... ."

Do you mean MAC properties? They're the ones who are actually doing things that are improving midtown. The toot toot folks will only be building a monstrosity that will fuck up traffic royally. And they're so sure the initiative will fail that they're rigging yet another phony mail-in ballot to insure only those in favor get to vote.

  6. Did anybody get mugged , shot , or carjacked ?

  7. This has to be a joke. A walk to feed the homeless, a walk to stop violence, yes; but a walk for s streetcar??? These people are truly sick.

  8. They should take the Max. Oh, I forgot, it isn't free.

  9. The city just spent months widening Brookside Boulevard at 51st and Brookside, the planned turnaround for the streetcar. They're claiming it was for the Whole Foods Store but that's B.S. They widened the west side of the street and the grocery store is on the east side of Brookside. They already think the streetcar to UMKC is a done deal.

  10. Maybe they could start paying to fix their sewers instead of having the northland pay for them.

  11. You get those stats on the frequency of service break downs yet, so you can prove what you said yesterday?

    hahahaha....we could wait centuries

  13. Walking tour of all the citizens they are going to rip off with their rigged mail in election.

  14. C'mon people...Toot Toot - Give A Hoot .

  15. Dave will take the Main street Max to the start location (hoping no one notices) then preach the goody goodness of party bar hopper extension and how superior it is to those silly buses!

  17. Toot toot. Secret gerrymandered mail-in election. Hoot. Clunk.

  18. @8:38 comment about widening Brookside: I just made this same observation yesterday to my husband who drives this way to work everyday. We assumed it was widened to add a left turn lane on the southbound side. Yet they finished the widening, paved Brookside and striped the road. No turn lane.
This whole thing could already be a done deal no matter if they have a vote by ballot or mail in.

  19. Saying it doesn't make it so. No matter how many times the lie is said.

  20. We will have to wait to se if it is a lie now, won't we Davey boy 6:04. My vote is for widened for streetcar.

  21. Did someone say StreetCar? Time for Troy, Sherri, Ralph, and Jason to pack their bags as they are going on a taxpayer paid vacation to Spain, again.

    ReplyDelete
  22. What they are up to is to have people who live six blocks from Main Street vote to force those who live four blocks from the line pay for it. Think not? just watch.
