Next month marks the five year anniversary of the first of a bunch of civil lawsuits vs. Fr. Shawn Ratigan and the Kansas City Catholic diocese. Ratigan is the priest whose crimes led to the resignation of Bishop Robert Finn . . .
Next month is also the one year anniversary of Finn’s “pilgrimage” to Spain.
After Finn stepped down, another Midwestern bishop did so too. That prelate, generated controversy last month when he showed up at a fancy hotel in California’s wine country for a gathering of conservative Catholics.
And where’s Finn now? Living in Nebraska with a small group of nuns. Don’t be embarrassed that you didn’t know this, because for the most part, KC area media haven’t disclosed this fact.
