TKC QUESTION: KANSAS CITY ROYALS WORLD SERIES WINNING JUST A FLUKE?!?!

Something to consider for Friday night and as this Kansas City baseball season ends with a whimper . . .

WAS THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS WORLD SERIES VICTORY NOTHING MORE THAN A FLUKE GIVEN THEIR LACKLUSTER PERFORMANCE THIS YEAR???

Here's something that most sports newsies, bloggers and pundits won't admit . . . For diehard fans it's actually a relief to have all of the hipsters, hotties, politicos and PR people jump off the bandwagon. The late meaningless late season games are much better experience without enduring all of the Paul Rudd clones . . .

But I digress . . .

Students of America's pastime are actually much more astute . . . The World Series run of the past two years was really about nothing more than MONEYBALL and now management is back to their old cheapskate pattern . . . Like everything else, baseball victory is for sale.

Still, the hometown pride chatter, the myth of Dayton Moore's genius and all the other hype has been THANKFULLY proven wrong this year . . . The only REAL QUESTION is if Kansas City Royals myth-making was nothing more than a rigged corporate stunt in the first place. TKC doesn't pretend to know the answers . . . Go ask Sungwoo Lee

Developing . . .

You're an ass. Making the World Series 2 straight years is no fluke.

Hey Tony, just move the eff outta here!

A baseball season is 162 games Tony. Getting to the World Series twice and winning once is hardly a fluke. The Royals are injured beyond the point of rational recovery. Making the playoffs would be quite an achievement. Going 500 is probably the best we could hope for.

Guys, why must I come on here time after time to remind you all. Tony is Mexican, Mexican's don't know anything about baseball other then the LA Dodgers. He's mad that his Dodgers haven't won shit since 1988.

If it wasn't a fluke, how come it only took 30 years to make happen and go away as faster than it happened

They would be on their way to the Series if they would give Alex Gordon a raise.
