The threat of more violence and a pizza party wisely more focused on elementary school youngsters kept most parents and students away from a troubled promotional gathering for Kansas City Mayor Sly James.
Remember that the grand pizza party "Rock The Block" finale celebrated a series of weekend parties where one girl alleges sexual molestation. Accordingly, most people decided that staying away was the best course of action amid the low key event that was thankfully without incident . . . Due mostly to fear but also the very early closing time.
Like most other small biz and public events in Kansas City proper . . . Like it or not, it's pretty much best to end everything by sun down to avoid trouble.
But don't take the word of this blogger for it . . . Despite the fact that we've been right about this event from its start and the local new stations took their lead from our reporting.

ReplyDeleteSo what happened to all the extra free food? The first 1500 were supposed to have free food - there should have been enough left over for 1460 to 1470 or so people to have eaten! Did it all go to waste?
