TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY WEDNESDAY WARNING: INSIDERS WORRY ABOUT MAYOR SLY'S ROCK THE BLOCK & KCPD RESOURCES!!!
Against the advice of the biz community and despite an exceptionally violent Summer 2016 . . . Mayor Sly continues a troubled party tradition that has proven to be a disaster over the years.
Rock The Block is slated for this weekend and right now we have just a quick word of warning about the event from a KICK-ASS INSIDER. . .
"Sly's Rock the Block at Union Station is Saturday night. I wonder if it will be marred with violence yet again this year as it has for the last three? I'm sure the PD will unfortunately have to pull many resources and officers away from needed areas to deal with this, as the last two years the tactical teams were needed to disperse large disturbances and parties armed."
This party is the culmination of Mayor's Nights for this year which was a horrible embarrassment marred by claims of sexual abuse.
Meanwhile . . .
EVERY YEAR ROCK THE BLOCK HAS HOSTED FIGHTING AND DAMAGE TO SURROUNDING PROPERTY . . . THIS YEAR THE PARTY WILL BE CLOSER TO THE TOY TRAIN AS MAYOR SLY'S ADMINISTRATION HAS REJECTED ADVICE TO HOLD THE EVENT AT ANOTHER LOCATION THAT COULD BE SECURED MORE EASILY!!!
And so, we offer this word of warning in hopes that Kansas City residents can avoid any trouble and also realize the violent history of this event.

If the mayor is going to feed Kansas City with taxpayer money then I think there needs to be more publicity of the event! Is the streetcar funding this?

im in town ,sort of a road trip/vacation with family.were originally from a small town 50 miles south of fargo ND..my wife and myself and 3teeage kids 2 girls and a bor the oldest being 18 year old daughter.wife has elderly relatives were staying with in Grandview.ANYHOW,i just gotta say we are shocked at how many colored people live in and around kc! not only just that,but their behavior and attitude are horrible..been here 2 days and have been personally concerned for my familys safety ,several times already..they yell profanity back& forth at the gas stations.cant tell if they are serious or not ,until one of more break into this child like laughter.cant understand anythinh they are saying,which tends to make me a little more nervous,especially when they're yelling it..i get sneers.my wife and daughters get damn near eye-fucked!! i get the feeling that everywhere we end up going around town ,we are not wanted or liked being there ..well leaving in a couple days ,headed for colorado,and cat say that i will miss this city.kc has a lot of neat things to look at but they all seem to be in dangerous looking areas.we wanted to do a lot more sight seeing,but im notgonna risk my families safety and we were told by her aunt to stay away from the new street car.she said that whole area is dangerous in the freakin daytime..oh well we did meet a few nice people ,but i cant remember if i mentioned it or not , itseemed the blacks didnt care for us and had no problem letting us know just that..little long-winded.sorry and so long missouri

A city vehicle has been recovered after it was stolen Wednesday morning.
The theft happened about 10 a.m. at East Eight Street and Park Avenue.
Police said the vehicle was found minutes later at East 11th Street and Garfield Avenue, about a half mile away. The suspect was taken into custody blocks away.
Police said the robber had a gun and shots were fired. No one was hurt.
This event always ends badly. Getting old, sly. Find a new idea.
