SKIPPY STAYS WINNING IN SUGAR CREEK!!!

They used to call him "Skippy" as an insult but it's also a tacit admission that a winning attitude and some important connections will continue an impressive career in the face of adversity.

Also, it's always been kinda strange that this guy walked off the job in the middle-of-the-night amid X-mas time and never got any heat for betraying the trust of voters who didn't elect him to quit in one of the most mysterious events the local political events we've seen since we all agree to stop asking questions about the Rock Island Corridor vaporware toy train . . . That has yet to make much progress . . . Still.

Anyhoo, here's an update on the adventures of a local legal eagle slowly on the return path to public life:

Examiner: Sanders takes over as Sugar Creek city attorney

Deets:

"Mike Sanders . . . Listens to remarks from the Sugar Creek Board of Aldermen after he was installed as the new city attorney at Monday's board meeting. Sanders, who announced his resignation in December as Jackson County Executive and also has been County Prosecutor, recently joined the Independence law firm Humphrey, Farrington & McClain. The board also approved a contract with that firm Monday . . . "

You decide . . .

Comments
