MO NPR: 'Medicaid 23' convicted of trespassing in Missouri Senate

Deets:

"It's a split decision in the trial of the so-called "Medicaid 23," a group of religious leaders who staged a protest in the Missouri Senate more than two years ago over lawmakers' refusal to expand Medicaid. Twenty-two members of the group were found guilty of trespassing for not leaving the Senate gallery when ordered to do so by Capitol police. But they were found not guilty of obstructing the operations of the Senate. The case of one other member will be decided later."

Now, if we could just get stiffer penalties for nuisance clergy-types that would be outstanding. They shouldn't be prosecuted just because they've gotten on a politician's nerves. They get on the public's nerves too and are allowed to get away with it. More clergy jailed in 2017!!!!

I hope Mary Sanchez's head has exploded. But then I hoped the same about Yael Abouhalkah when Brownback won another term, and it didn't happen. It does make them crazier though.

Now that Kurt Schaffer does not have to pretend to be a crazy -- having lost the GOP AG nomination -- he can behave like a rational, decent person. He testified that the Senate business was NOT disrupted -- effectively clearing the demonstrators of half the charges.
