SHOULD KANSAS CITY PARENTS TELL SCHOLARS TO AVOID MAYOR SLY'S EMBATTLED 'ROCK THE BLOCK' EVENT???

There has been violence EVERY YEAR at the Mayor's Kansas City Summer pizza party finale . . . This time around they're taking special precautions thanks to warning from our blog community.

But remember that even this party is celebrating a series of weekend parties where one girl alleges sexual molestation. So it's not like we're talking about an overwhelmingly successful celebration. Moreover . . . Every year the political elite assure Kansas City that it'll be a trouble free night and almost every year there is a disaster.

Accordingly and because nobody else will ask the question . . .

SHOULD RESPONSIBLE PARENTS ALLOW THEIR SCHOLARS TO ATTEND THIS TROUBLED EVENT OR IS IT BETTER REMAIN SKEPTICAL ABOUT PROMISES OF SAFETY FROM MAYOR SLY'S?!?!

Here's the word and a statement from the Mayor on tonight's festivities . . .

Fifth Annual Sly’s Rock the Block Celebration Happening on Saturday

Community event offers live entertainment and family-friendly activities

Kansas City, MO — The fifth annual Sly’s Rock the Block celebration is set for Saturday, August 13 from 3 p.m.-7:30 p.m. The event will offer a variety of entertainment and family-friendly activities to mark another year of successful summer programs.

“Our Club KC and Mayor’s Nights give young people a way to socialize, dance, play sports, explore art and technology and just have fun in a safe environment,” said Mayor James. “Those programs focus on our youth, but Saturday’s event is for the entire community; we hope to see youth and their families enjoying the live entertainment, great food and fun activities.”

Thousands are expected to attend the free event, coordinated with the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department. The first 1,500 attendees will receive tickets for free hot dogs, chips and drinks. Several food trucks will also be on the premises offering various food items for sale.

Live entertainment will begin at approximately 3 p.m. featuring the Mary L. Kelly Dancers; Mr. Stinky Feet; Black Repertory Theatre; The Hearts of Darkness; The Buhs; and Thr3dcard. Mayor Sly James and Parks and Recreation Director Mark McHenry will welcome guests and speak briefly at approximately 4:30 p.m. during the entertainment lineup.

The celebration will offer families a variety of fun activities throughout the afternoon including: Arts Tech (caricatures, face painting, giant Jenga); Zoo Mobile; Discovery Center; Sister Act Face Painting; Imagination Playground; Stone Lion Puppets; video games; college basketball experience pop-a-shot; Girl Scouts (crafts); and several inflatables. Participants will also have the opportunity to register to vote and visit with a number of community organizations, nonprofits and city departments including TMC Healthy Harvest Mobile Market, The Public Library and Science City.

“Nearly 7,000 youth and young adults participated in our Club KC and Mayor’s Nights programs this summer,” said Mayor James. “Through the years, we’ve added activities to appeal to the diverse interests of teens and the steady participation shows it is working well for our city.”

  2. Do you think black kids have "parents?" No, they have sperm donors and baby incubators. The word "parents" implies black people raise a child correctly, teaching them right from wrong, societal norms, correcting their bad behavior. Black people do none of this. Grandma raises them. Grandma has been on welfare her entire life. Grandma let's them do what they want. The only thing she teaches them is how to also get on the dole. The kids "parents" are absent from their life. Mom is a crackhead and dad, well we all know how black dad's are. This will be a disaster like it always is because black people ruin everything they touch.

  3. There are a lot of black parents who can see through this crap. That's why Sly is not welcomed to many school district events.

What is horrible is that he would rather keep pushing his agenda than worrying about the safety of these kids.

  4. I would be curious how many whiteys attend. My guess is zip, in which case it's just more pandering to the negroes. At this time of year, they're given a party, free clothes, free school supplies, free school breakfasts and lunches, etc., all for a segment whose majority will drop out before finishing school.

  5. All the mexicans skip this but only because they get their ass beat by even going to school when not in packs.

  6. I would be interested in seeing some real figures not the Sly James figures on just who and what attended this idiotic event.

Then I's like to see the real figures of what it cost the tax payers all summer long to do.

Come on Mayor James, I dare you to produce the real figures and not more of your dog and pony show figures.

  7. This event should go forward. This is a genuine effort to provide something for the community. It's also an opportunity to support that effort - I think the Mayor's heart is in the right place. Hoping there's no violence and those participating in the festivities have a great time and stay safe.

  8. 6:45

Think about that comment. 6:45, is liberal. That's cool, God bless ya, most of you Pollyanna "Hoping there is no violence" folks do have your heart in the right place, just not your fuckin brain. You acknowledge the clear and present danger of violence, that anyone with above room temperature IQ is aware of, when there are large numbers of blacks, yet, you encourage the event to take place.

We just spent 5 days talking about tearing down a dangerous ride at an amusement park, because one, count it, one kid got killed.

Sending people into large crowds of blacks (I am not even pretending that anyone will send their little white kid into this city funded wood chipper.) is taking, literally a far, far greater risk in terms of injury and death than you would be pushing your kid off of the Schlitterbahn. We are so politically correct, that the loss of life in the inner cities means nothing unless that loss of life is associated with white cops or the once a decade murder of a black by a ZIMMERMAN, who, THANK YOU JESUS, WAS HALF WHITE.

Bloody constraint, violence and force of arms is the ONLY thing that will bend a necrotic, parasitical culture, worshiped and lionized by the 4th estate, politicians and the Entertainment Industry to heel.

    Hear the Thunder?

  12. No matter what happens it will be touted as a success and continued next year. Meanwhile Police resources will be stretched to the absolute limit during and after the event and the taxpayer will foot the bill for all the overtime as well as the event itself

  13. yes- the more urban scholars getting whacked -- the fewer future Democrat voters.

make the teens stay home on the urban plantation, and breed more welfare baby Democrats

  14. They could have put all these 7000 kids and young adults to work this summer doing community service dismantling houses they need to come down for recycling, picking up litter, and whacking weeds instead of attending twerking and jerking parties.
