In the midst of so much election season pageantry and even a bit of hard fought unity . . . We want to help Kansas City denizens get their priorities straight. Natch.

CHECK THE KANSAS CITY WEEKLY POWER RANKING CELEBRATION OF THE STRONGEST LOCAL PEOPLE IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE PRIMARY VOTE!!!

Here we go . . .

Kansas City Law Enforcement Rank & File Flex On Embattled Chief Forté!!!

In one scathing attack after the next, KCK Police Union Officials and then KCMO Union Dudes took the top cop to task over his comments on "unreasonable fear" of African-American males amid tense times betwixt the community and law enforcement. The Chief was quickly put on the defensive but there is no doubt that, like it or not, THE MAJORITY of locals side with the rank & file on this uncomfortable topic that brings to light ongoing racial, administrative and political divisions in Kansas City and within its institutions.

Show-Me Rep. John Rizzo En Route To The Missouri State Senate After Successfully Navigating Democratic Party In-Fighting

A decisive victory in the face of negative campaigning and Dead Tree Media complicity was once again earned by this young politico who is one of the top Democratic Party leaders in the State now that he has left detractors in his rear-view mirror.

Kansas City Lady Dutch Wins In Death!!!

Our blog community called it and then reported it FIRST: Kansas City's Democratic political matriarch proved victorious in death like some kind of cowtown Jedi powered by the love of many of her friends and colleagues. Nicely done, Dutch.

Revenge Of The FUNK!!!

An old school Kansas City mayor was recently ranked as one of the top 100 local influencers in the nation and there are some very smart people among our blog community who have hinted at a comeback for this disgraced and historically defeated politico . . . And maybe/maybe not his wife's feet.

Freedom Moves Forward In South KC!!!

  1. Trump wins, Funk wins!

  2. I'm only glad that you did not include more of that garbage about "moderates" in Kansas. The truth is that Governor Brownback retains a great deal of power and he remains the leader of the Republican party. The new winners will still owe a lot to him and I wouldn't look for them to start any kind of "revolution" any time soon. Most of this is simply Johnson County wishful thinking.

  3. There were more than a few power plays than this one but I see your point.

The general election won't be a let down and you know that KC Democrats have a lot of surprises in store to show their support for Hilly!

  4. ELGL.com Hahahaha?
    Funk wins? What?

"Mark Funkhouser, Former Mayor of Kansas City and Governing Magazine Publisher

Half Mayor, Half Father, Half Funk: He’s Twitter bio says it all. Mark influenced the Kansas City, MO community as city auditor and as mayor from 2007 to 2011. Post-Kansas City, Mark serves as publisher of Governing magazine where he has a platform to bring important issues to the forefront of state and local government."

The grammar error in the praise is priceless.

  20. Forte got his ass kicked this week. If he doesn't right his ship he will lose any chance of putting the department behind him. Kansas City needs a leader, not a panderer. These next couple of weeks will tell. If stops are down and crime is up, it will be on Forte's back.

  21. It's damned sure not "unreasonable" either. Those stinking beasts will do anything, anytime, anyplace. Fucking animals.

  22. 11:26 The reason this town is so fucked up is because of clowns like you who think your opinion is the only one that counts.
