Kansas City's top ranking Congressman has always been a champion of civility and a recent security scare now has his taking aim at the Internets.

Kansas City insiders remind us that the extra protection he asked for is actually a bit of a special privilege given that politicos throughout this town are often threatened and harassed but usually told by authorities that they have to wait "until something happens" to garner more security.
On the bright side, Internet tough talk in order to vent and nothing more is commonplace and it's usually a good thing where even the fiercest critics feel like they can air their grievances. Here @ TKC we've been focusing on more thoughtful ideas that are articulately expressed and not spammed and the response has been pretty great or at least worthwhile in providing a local, tiny alternative for than those who don't want to lose their jobs, friends and family thanks to comments on Facebook.
In the final analysis . . . The Congressmen simply repeats his call for civility which is a worthwhile ask and still wouldn't negate the arguments of his political opponents.
Our challenge to readers is to agree or disagree but do so without Ad hominem attack . . . Or at least make it captivating and just hobo-style ranting.
