Kansas City Call-In Against Crime Today

It may not be very original but here's a much needed effort to encourage the community to provide tips and information in the fight against rising crime. Here's more deets on the effort underway right now: Adhoc Group Against Crime and Hot 103 Jamz host 12-hour "Call for Action"

  1. So...how's that working out for them? All these monikers make a difference? While on the air, are you registering folks to vote? Gave up on that too? More balloons, t-shirts , vigils, and marches to nowhere? Where have you been all this time? Waiting for #75 and another child to get you motivated? Another grandmother, no, great-grandmother run over and jacked by women? Our supposed leaders acting like thugs, again...religious leaders or false prophets? Duckets? Pieces of silver? Parcel of land? Wrap it up?

The punch line is...keep up the good work. Don't take the bait. Forget your past, be condemned to repeat it. The victors rewrite history. Start today. We built this city. Fund the narcotics task force. That's your new border war. Can't keep that hush, hush much longer. Good luck.

  2. lol Why bother? A radio program and Adhoc aren't going to change a thing. TIPS offers cash rewards which is the very thing most people need (money) and they don't respond to that. Also more than half the violence is further South. Why arent they in neighborhoods where the crime is happening? Because its too hot. They are giving it their lazy best.

  5. Adhoc seems to get more airtime than actual work done in the community. There's a peculiar imbalance.

  6. If you tried to have a meeting of ALL the activists, nonprofits, groups, and organizations like as Hoc, most of which get one kind of public subsidy or another, you'd have to schedule it at Arrowhead to have enough seats.
Of course, most of the people wouldn't come, because they don't work together on anything, but instead constantly fight over "funding" and who can get the most face-time on tv.
Ad Hoc's been around since 1977.
There have been 73 homicides year-to-date in 2016.
Just pouring more money down the drain.
