Another Kansas City Building Collapses

Once again we remind readers that the Mayor pledged $10 MILLION to tear down dangerous buildings in Kansas City but progress has been slow whilst the rate of urban core decay continues amid harsh weather. The latest: Vacant building partially collapses in Kansas City, Missouri

  3. When slums get decrepit enough, they start falling down into the streets. Only a problem if they fall on the trolley to nowhere. By the way: one of these rainy days, when the sewers overflow again, that trolley is gonna go up in a big cloud of smoke. High voltage trains and uncontrolled flooding don't play well together.

    The trolley line will never be extended ... while that in itself would cost a fortune, it's not even possible until after the city spends BILLIONS on sewer, drainage and road improvements. You can't run electric trains on top of crumbling infrastructure on streets that fill with liquid poop whenever it rains. ... don't need to be no civil engineer to understand that.
