Two of Kansas City's top elected officials are making bold analogies to all of this week's tragic violence and the juxtaposition just might offend a great many of their constituents.

“You’ve got police officers being shot at from high altitudes by people with killing machines,” says James. “Weapons that were meant for war. The type of weapon I used when I was in the Marine Corps.”
“The bottom line is none of these folks should have died,” James says. “Not a single one. It wasn’t necessary.”
As he often does, James says he feels hamstrung by Missouri gun laws, which in his opinion does little to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of those intent on causing harm.
“I can’t tell you it won’t happen here,” James says. “I can tell you I don’t think we have the tinder and the gasoline and the matches that close together that it’s going to happen here. But it could . . .”

ReplyDelete1) Sylvester James and Emanuel Cleaver are not too bright, verbose, narcissistic politicians.
2) James was elected with only some 21 percent of KCMO registered voters casting a ballot. He's a cheerleading puppet for the well-to-do business community which seeks to continue feeding at the public taxpayer trough. KC-area developers are seemingly incapable of lifting a finger without generous tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, etc.
3) Cleaver likely ran an SBA carwash loan scam to fund his initial Congressional campaign. Because KC corporate media are cogs in the Democrat Party machinery, they have refused to report the truth underlying the carwash wax job. Many people have questioned Cleaver's mental state in regards to his ability to adequately represent constituents, but once again the media remains silent, just as they did for 5th District Congressional predecessor Karen McCarthy, who suffered from alcoholism and dementia.
4) Mayor James tries to give KCMO residents what they don't want (redundant ToyTrain, new airport, convention center hotel, higher taxes, etc.)....while neglecting the primary citizen concerns (infrastructure, like roads, water, sewer, sidewalks, public safety).
5) Cleaver was the pork shepherd behind the $200 million dollar Green Impact Zone boondoggle, which quickly turned green, moldy, and stunk to high heaven. Are James and Cleaver competing to see who is the Biggest Loser? Hah! That reminds me of the time Sylvester James and Jim Heeter had a public contest to lose weight and get in shape.....it was a tie.....they both lost!!!
6) Mayor James, terribly embarrassed that he's presiding over a KCMO skyrocketing homicide epidemic, reflexively kneejerks the Democratic Party's mantra of "More Gun Control."
7) Meanwhile, Cleaver squats on the House floor with his fellow Democrat "community activists", calls for restrictions on all Americans Constitutionally-protected rights, and proclaims it's the proudest day of his public service? Say what? See item number 3 above, concerning "mental state."
James and Cleaver are part and parcel of a 100% Corrupt, Bureaucatized-Inverted-Totalitarian, Police-State Government that is permeated through the city, state, and federal levels.This 'Government is owned and controlled by a global Totalitarian cabal that uses the U.S. Government and it's puppet allies as it's enforcement arm.The apex of this cabal are at least fifty percent Zionists as well as other wealthy families and a few potentates. ReplyDeleteHorrible last few days. But we should understand that this is the result of our national Original Sin -- slavery -- but also of a Supreme Court with liberal judges who are not liberal and conservative judges who are not conservative.
ReplyDeleteSCOTUS has eaten away at the Fourth Amendment -- usually as part of the foolish War on Drugs -- to expand police powers related to traffic stops. That means that a busted tail light stop -- at most a annoying delay for the old, white and middle-class -- can legally be justified to search drivers and passengers and vehicle. It is not a coincidence that this intense police activity occurs primarily with the non-white and young. Every expired tag or broken taillight becomes an excuse for intrusive, humiliating investigation. God forbid you should be young, black or brown, and have forgotten to pay a parking ticket!
Then SCOTUS ( strictly construing it by ignoring the first third of it ) miraculously discovered that the Second Amendment created an individual right to bear arms. Although even Scalia did not believe that everyone should be allowed to have every kind of firearm, the NRA took the ball and ran the table in state legislatures. Now other-wise rational Congressman think that there is a RIGHT to buy battlefield-grade guns and ammo that should not be inconvenienced by virtue of being on a terrorist watch list. (Of course, the right to bear arms no more guarantees that you can buy an AR15 than the right to travel guarantees that you can fly in a plane. Or drive an 18 wheeler without license and insurance. DUH!)
So, now we have cops -- not unreasonably scared senseless by the sadly rational fear than anyone they stopped could shoot them with their God & NRA protected gun -- who approach guys with broken taillights with guns drawn -- and panic. And a man who served his country in Afghanistan goes crazy and murders five decent guys -- "good guys with guns" -- with the weapon of war that Wayne LaPierre put in his hands.
Of course, blame the gun and not the black shooter who can't act civilized in a civil world.

ReplyDeleteYou'll have to show me where in the constitution or its amendments there is a right to travel, by air or otherwise, and where the Constitution addresses driving anything. But there is a clause, identified in the document as a right, that addresses ownership of firearms in defense of self, family and home. If you want to help, draft legislation that would allow the government to involuntarily detain and medicate crazies, and deny arms (only) to potential terrorists.
