WAKE UP TO FLOODED KANSAS CITY STREETS THANKS TO OLD AND BUSTED STORM SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE!!!

Let's never forget an unfortunate fact about local life while trying to avoid impromptu inner-city bodies of standing water that are a constant hazard after even a modicum of rainfall...

The City of Kansas City, Mo., has agreed to make extensive improvements to its sewer systems, at a cost estimated to exceed $2.5 billion over 25 years, to eliminate unauthorized overflows of untreated raw sewage and to reduce pollution levels in urban stormwater...

In reality, the total is closer to 5 BILLION DOLLARS and most of that work has yet to be accomplished whilst water rates continue to soar and City Hall remains focused on a development agenda catering to Downtown tourists.

  11. These things were to be done years ago and monies appropriated. Yet here again they are just now trying to fix? The profit from the toy train would help a lot to this budget. lol
