Quick update for our dedicated group of readers, haters and spammers who sometimes can't stand this blog but keep coming back everyday throughout the day . . .

OUR BLOG COMMUNITY HAS ENJOYED A HOT STREAK LEADING KANSAS CITY MAINSTREAM MEDIA WITH EPIC REPORTING GOODNESS!!!

Fact is . . .

Newsies across the Kansas City visit this blog community in order to get a glimpse at all of the important and interesting news. Haters and our "friends" with back handed compliments always share their minor criticisms but the fact is we have THREE TIME STAMPED EXAMPLES JUST TODAY of our journalism prowess on display.

Take a peek . . .

Our TKC BLOG COMMUNITY BROKE THE NEWS ON THE EFFORT TO INCLUDE AN AQUARIUM IN GO BOND PLANS and then the newspaper wrote it with far less excitement or interest . . . City bonds considered as source of money for an aquarium at the zoo

We talked BLASTED NEWS FIRST ABOUT THE MUDSLIDE IN THE CROSSROADS and then it became the source of great visuals for the TV News . . . Rain creates muddy mess in Crossroads

Before any other news source in Kansas City we noted the $7 MILLION COMPROMISE for 18th and Vine and then it was news fact followed up by public radio reporters: Compromise 18th And Vine Plan Trims City Financial Commitment

We hope you remember our leading brand of ENTERTAINING LOCAL NEWS AWESOME when our next E-book is up for sale!!! Also, we understand that people don't like bragging and neither do we . . . Instead, this is just a tribute to the EPIC POWER OF THE LOCAL INTERNETS and an example of what a blog community can do in taking a stand and engaging in FREE SPEECH DISCUSSION of some of the most important issues of the day speaking truth to power and throwing off the shackles of legacy media and embracing our LOVE for chesty models and good stories.

Meanwhile, all of this is simply to note that OUR TKC BLOG COMMUNITY STAYS WINNING AND HAS BECOME ONE OF THE TOP NEWS SOURCES IN KANSAS CITY while we fight spam, defend FREE SPEECH, share images of our favorite hotties and just pretty much enjoy our SPECIAL BRAND OF AWESOME that the local Internets and MSM world might not like but still CLEARLY use as a resource. Natch.

  1. Good for you Tk.

It's not bragging when you can back it up.

  2. The blog isn't for everybody but I appreciate the effort and I realize that most mainstream news people are just passing through KC and don't really have a sense of this town. There are some issues that they just don't get. At the very least, TKC will listen to people who know better and have a more informed perspective about what's really going on in KC.

  9. Free Speech? WAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  10. Why does Kc need any of this? We don't need a new aquarium or more money for a district that has never contributed a penny to local revenue? Why is it so hard for government to clean up and maintain KCMO?

  11. Jazz isn't dead it just smells less funny as an aquarium.

  12. Go Tony! You rock!

  13. Instead of an aquarium I would like to see:

An NBADL team in the Sprint Center or Kemper

    A legit KC Film festival

fish are nice but they are very expensive and if you don't build something amazing it just looks mediocre.

  14. The penguins we got are sooo expensive. They only eat fresh fish flown in weekly to the zoo. How many zoo people live and pay taxes in Kansas City, I wonder. St. Louis Zoo is a shared county burden. This spending madness needs to stop. The KC zoo will never be the San Diego Zoo! Focus on basic cost effective city services first!

  15. Honestly, I'm here for the titties. keep em coming

  16. At first I thought this was rather self-serving of TKC, but the I realized this seems to be the only place where an objective view of such questionable projects as the subsidized hotel, the subsidized choo choo, subsidized but nevertheless expensive downtown apartments, etc. can be read.

    Keep it up, Tony.
