KC Biz Journal: Residential customers in Missouri may see their energy bills increase as soon as April 2017. Kansas City Power & Light Co. filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission for a 7.5 percent rate increase to some of its Missouri customers . . . The increase would "recover money spent upgrading the company's infrastructure, adding regional transmission lines and complying with environmental and cybersecurity mandates,"

Meanwhile, the search for alternative energy remains stagnant in the flyover country . . .
