SHAME!!! LONG KANSAS CITY HISTORY OF WATER FAIL RISES AGAIN AMID JULY 4TH WEEKEND NEIGHBORHOOD FLOODING!!!

Mainstream media is reporting the "possibility" of Kansas City flooding this weekend given ongoing rain but the reality is that so many streets and low lying areas cope with sewer backups and high tides nearly every time in rains.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY'S ONGOING SEWER SYSTEM FAIL REMAINS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FACING THIS COWTOWN WHICH HAS BEEN NEGLECTED IN FAVOR OF TOURIST ATTRACTION DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES!!!

Just a bit of background for those who don't remember . . .

EPA: The City of Kansas City, Mo., has agreed to make extensive improvements to its sewer systems, at a cost estimated to exceed $2.5 billion over 25 years, to eliminate unauthorized overflows of untreated raw sewage and to reduce pollution levels in urban stormwater, the Justice Department and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced

That was back in 2010 but since then this has been just another project among a myriad of deferred maintenance issues that confront this town.

Since this agreement the water backup situation has grown worse but the current Mayor has REFUSED an audit of the Water Dept. and instead this year and convened yet another task force to cope with one more problem spilling out onto local streets and hurting the small biz community.

You decide . . .
