The majority of this legislative body is at the DNC this week along with Mayor Sly . . . 1. Fowler should shut his old ass up and count his blessings, unless he wants the same end as Jim Glover.

  3. Hopefully it passes and the city can use the money on an actual plan: extend the wildly successful streetcar to the plaza, increase bus service to the core and east side, including real BRT with dedicated lanes and signal priority.

The city needs to quit wasting money on transit in the northland and South KC.

  4. A lot of stuff the City Council puts taxpayer money in id "fairytale"- trolley train 2 mile $100 million, 18th and Vine $127 Million and counting, proposal for a new aquarium at the zoo (untold costs) Beacon Hill project over 50 million and counting..and on and on. all of this while water costs soar and basic services go lacking. Talk about a fairytale situation.

  5. "wildly successful" Streetcar? It's an amusement park ride for free. Best deal for families look for a cheap thrill. Wait until they start charging to ride it and see how many people pay for the cheap thrill at a cost of $18 for a family of six round trip.

  6. According to that guy David Johnson (using the term guy very loosely), the streetcar can run without end based on the 50 people who voted for it. 50 people make the trolley go roun and round. Even with 500 people, tax revenue wont generate enough to cause that train to keep running for free. He is delusional.
