CELEBRATE VICIOUS POLITICAL FIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE KANSAS CITY METRO!!!

According to the world's most accurate encyclopedia and one of the very smart TKC commenters who mentioned this quote previously . . . Sayre's law states: "In any dispute the intensity of feeling is inversely proportional to the value of the issues at stake."

Moreover . . .

On 20 December 1973, the Wall Street Journal quoted Wallace Stanley Sayre as: "Academic politics is the most vicious and bitter form of politics, because the stakes are so low."

Obviously, the guy was a stranger to Kansas City metro suburban politics.

Accordingly . . .

Thanks to a series very eloquent and detailed pressers sent to local media, just about every news outlet picked up this "scandal" over $800 bucks and trophy-biz controversy . . .

YOU DECIDE: WHO WINS THE SLEAZE SUMMIT GRUDGE MATCH . . . CHRIS MORENO OR THE WHITE LADY?!?!

Sadly, Mr. Moreno has yet to learn throughout the course of his career that a politico can be "right" and still lose. We don't doubt his meticulous attention to detail or the validity of his claims but publicly going for the political throat of an older white lady in the Midwest simply isn't good form. Tell us if we're wrong here and society suddenly stopped valuing middle-class white broads above all else . . .

Lee’s Summit councilwoman’s business dealings come under fire

Similarly . . .

CHECK OUT JERRY NOLTE ON THE WARPATH IN THE NORTHLAND!!!

Nolte Calls for Park Board Member Resignation, Expresses Frustration With Staff and Commission

No idea what this story is about and not sure anybody cares . . . 50K TKC Bonus points to anyone who kept reading past the part about biz cards printed in Chinese.

What's important here is that not so long ago Mr. Nolte was one of the lead anti-immigration advocates in Missouri and here's where it landed him.

Finally . . .

No new developments on this front but somewhere KCK Mayor Mark Holland and UG Commissioner Ann Murguia are preparing for another round of slap-fighting over an issue that most of their constituents don't care to understand amid a spate of recent murders . . .

And all this is simply to demonstrate that political dysfunction doesn't stop in the urban core and (in an era when Hillary & Trump represent the best this nation has to offer for Prez) just about every American governmental body is well on the way to looking like Taiwanese Parliament.

You decide . . .

A city council person cannot sell something for a few hundred dollars to a city but they can take huge campaign contributions in exchange for handing out millions in tax breaks. Look to the real scandals.

Being ethical is more than just following arbitrary laws.

8:51am hits the nail on the head.
It's like watching a middle school version of "As the World Turns" reruns.

LS Council Members Diane Seif, Chris Moreno, Dave Mosby, Phyllis Edson, and Craig Faith are all in violation of Missouri State Statutes 610.025 and 610.020. There are emails that turned up during this investigation that show they are conducting secret business meetings and sending emails from personal accounts, not copying the city clerk as provided by law. Then they declare in public that they are not bringing slam motions to the table. Sleezy.

Is Jerry Nolte related to Nick?

Here they are wasting time over a couple hundred dollars while Moreno shakes down every developer that walks in for more campaign contributions. Moreno's latest lawsuit to the tune of well over $33k for breach of contract should really open eyeballs. WHY IS HE ON LEE'S SCUMMIT'S BUDGET COMMITTEE? His unpaid property taxes are comparable to Emanual Queefers carwash total. Add to all of it an email scandal that would impact the majority which is who's screaming foul on Forte? Seams Phishy

Sly isn't the only mayor who has being taking the advice of KCK's most corrupt politicians. Lee's Summit has been mirroring KCK's road map to success by selling out their citizens to the select few. Good luck with all the new high taxes, broken water pipes, crappy roads so that they and their pals can grow rich beyond their wildest dreams.

Mr. Nolte began his election campaign in 2014 with a $5,000.00 contribution from the developer who funds the linked blog.

The first ad is for that developer. The blog writer is paid a salary
by the developer. The developer has benefitted from tax breaks and has a history of under-handed business and political acts.

Mr. Nolte has been trying to disrupt Commission meetings for many months to put the other Commission members in a bad light to hurt their re-elections this year; in order to help opponents backed by that developer.

Bullshit. The other commissioners are being sued for using taxpayer money to mail out birthday cards with free tickets to the Jesse James Farm to a specific demographic of voters after at least 2 lawyers told them not to. They are not innocent.
Mr. Nolte has not been trying to disrupt meetings. Here's been trying to conduct business, and because he won't play ball the way the other two want the shut him down. He finally grew a set, and did said something about it.

Decades of stealing from the public treasury has been finely tuned in Wyandotte County. It's an art form.

Lee's Summit, you're following in the foot steps of the masters.
