  1. Forced to pay when we do not have any service. Love how these low life city hall people want 311 to handle their job. Holland is useless. The Soviet Union is alive and well in Wyandotte County.

  3. As a wife of a Waste Management Aka Deffenbaugh driver I want people to know my husband does not pick up curbside but he does do commercial pick up. He has been with the company for over 25 years. He works 60 plus hours a week in all types of weather. He has to constantly watch for those idiots who dart in front of his truck, back behind him, just basically looking for a reason to sue the company. There has been a ton of negative publicity recently about curbside pickup. While my husband does not perform that position I a can assure you the need for drivers is overwhelming. How many people out there really want to work 60+ hours a week, not matter the weather, dealing with the trash people discard?? They are doing as much as they can right now!! How about a little more patience people? It is a thankless job, but thank goodness someone is willing to do it!!

  4. As a wife I of a Waste Management aka Deffenbaugh driver for over 25 years, I would add that patience is needed as the transition to Waste Management is new for all. The drivers are working very hard to get their routes complete. My husband is spending the holiday at work as he has done since he started working for Deffenbaugh. They work 7 days a week 364 days a year only closed for Christmas. They pick up your trash which is a nasty job in itself. They work rain, shine, heat, snow, ice etc. They work 60 + hours a week. So what if your trash is a day late or two or a week late. It will be picked up!! They are in desperate need of drivers which have to be CDL licensed, drug free, and have a decent driving record. They also have to willing to work long hard hours. Calling and complaining does not solve problems but only adds to the burden the company is trying to overcome.
