We talked about this over the weekend in a discussion of the tragic stats accompanying the latest murder but here's a look at a public meeting on the steadily rising rate of killing on local streets. Checkit: Less than half of 2016 Kansas City, Missouri, murders solved
This has been the same for many years and reflects the lack of cooperation by residents with the police. Just about every story that reports the latest homicide ends with the observation that witnesses didn't (wouldn't) provide any information and there are no suspects.
ReplyDeleteAnd when even getting arrested for MURDER is a coin toss it shouldn't be surprising that the homicide rate doesn't change much from year to year, even as the population of the parts of the city most effected continues to decline.
No leadership to encourage and engage resident cooperation.
Low priority given to public safety by elected and appointed officials.
No surprises.

No human I am aware of cares. Those feral savages can kill each other off and no one really cares. The only thing us humans care about is that they speed it up a little. We can't pay for their niggershines forever.
ReplyDeleteI'm not buying that most murders go uncleared because people aren't cooperating. Lots of cities have coons. They don't have a 40 s0mething percent clearance rate. Maybe we should consider priorities based on the prevalence of the crime. We have turned PD into a bunch of glorified meter maids and an off duty employment agency. Time to clean house and change the culture at KCPD.

Anyone who informs is targeted. Most of the killings are gang-related. All gun owners are law-abiding citizens, until proven otherwise, including terrorist (gang members).
ReplyDeleteGang this, gang that? Can't you people come up with something more intelligent. Every one of these murders has not been gang-related. Just the other day, a man blew his sister's head off! Was he in a gang? No, he wasn't. The man in Raytown who blew his friend's head off because they were arguing and right in front of his family - blows him away. Gang related? I think not. Stop repeating what you hear.
