  1. Before your haters take hold TKC, I just wanted to offer a quick word of support.

These guys really are something to watch on the weekends. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a crowd of more than 200 surrounding these guys. All races, all ages and not a single fight despite such a big performance. Like you, I was surprised I hadn't heard more of these artists and it tells me that the local music scene is locked into offering coverage from only a certain type of performer that that fits neatly into a musical genre. What I say was hard to describe musically but a pleasure to witness and be a part of.

  5. @7:17 - I'm not saying it's Dylan but being serious all the time is a drag. Remember that you're on a blog that touts women with huge knockers every couple of posts. So it's not like this is the National Review.

  7. Typical bots of the obama... Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

  8. In New York there are hundreds of mediocre acts like this on the street at any given moment.

  9. gross, they're niggers. I can see monkeys at the zoo, thanks

  10. There's nothing quite like a huge grassroots fan base that enjoys watching your FREE live performance to position your career and help you save for college.
Speaking of free, it's rumored that the ONLY reason these guys started this group was because they heard the streetcar was being extended to the Plaza, so their chances for dipping into the city subsidy bowl will be greatly increasing.
    World class!
In fact, if they can make it here, they'll make it anywhere!

  11. Note: I dish the hate when the featured talent isn't offering anything interesting, original, or noteworthy.

The guy in the middle (AJ?) has been featured on this blog once before, maybe last year? His family were also profiled in the documentary "KC Dividing Line" on KCPT.

TKC needs to feature a video of them doing their music to give the reader a better impression, but it sounded good and their interview was remarkable in that they all 3 appeared intelligent, well-spoken, and serious.

So, no hate here, good luck with your music and I'll be listening.

  12. You can't discount luck in virtually any circumstance. But Aaron was the first to realize the DJ Pop Star is a thing of the past. This year Las Vegas said they would not be headlining anymore DJ's?

  13. Alright ladies and gents lets get serious here. Look, what these three or four guys do is silly and somewhat annoying. I see these jesters at the plaza all the time. They are far away from being original and authentic. All they do is setup their piece of crap DJ equipment, play Top 40 hits and dance similar to a style of native Americans. Look the fact of the matter is they help contribute to diminish the posh atmosphere that the plaza once had and tourists once enjoyed not to mention the low-income class that these "artists" help to welcome to the plaza. They play their music so loud that i can literally hear them from two blocks away which is super annoying when walking with a significant other trying to have a decent conversation while walking down the street. Finally, these guys are as annoying as the preacher on the plaza. Sincerely yours, Shadow*

  14. The new owners of the plaza must be wondering if it would be considered racist to tell these idiots to quit with the amplification of their trash music.

It would of course be portrayed that way by the usual rubes.

  15. Gainful. Employment. Think on't.

  16. Got to give these guys credit for hustling their product. Not my cup of tea musically....but they are way ahead of the other local bands who wonder why nobody comes to whatever crappy club they are playing in after they put no effort into promotion other than a flier in a couple of club bathrooms. These guys are taking their music to the audience instead of waiting for their audience to come to them. Good for them
