What this tidbit doesn't mention is that former council dude Terry Riley is now a paid consultant who continues to wield a great deal of influence throughout City Hall. Checkit: Former Kansas City councilman calls for stronger KCI security

If you want to evaluate KCI security there are ample inspections and I am absolutely sure the Air Marshalls have a hell of a lot better idea on security posture at KCI than some local yokel politician.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this asshole talking about? I am up there all of the time.
ReplyDeleteThere is security all over KCI.
That might be one of the dumbest things I've read yet about KCI. TSA said that the current configuration gives us a security advantage because unlike most airports, our people are spread out. So the front door is close to the gate. How is that a greater security concern than having hundreds of people packed together at a single security checkpoint or at a single bag claim area? Maybe the next suggestion can be putting up signs that say "bomb-free zone"
ReplyDeleteThis guy was absolutely ready for building a new terminal so that he and some od his friends could have been subcontracted into the deal as always.
ReplyDeleteWhere security is really needed is between people like Riley and any taxpayer cash.
ReplyDelete6:36am is right on the money.
Grifters never rest.
Or go away.
What's great about KCI is the ease in which one can drive up in a rental truck or van similar to Timothy McVeigh and not only be able to take out the front sidewalk but also crater the inside of the terminal up to the boarding gate. The TSA definitely knows what its talking about.
ReplyDeleteTerry Riley has "influence at city hall"? Hahahaha. Jesus, Tony, you've really gotten out of touch since you allowed your ladmag bro-blog to turn into a mixed bag of slander and semi-retarded white nationalism.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing Terry Riley has influence over is Teresa Loar, who has influence over how she skirts campaign finance and ethics policies (which is via Riley), and which animal print jacket she decides to wear to her "important event" tonight. People with actual influence laugh at them both.
Ah! City Hall has finally found a shill who can put a few words together. They're silly words, dismissive and tone-deaf, but thank goodness for the improvement anyway. :)
Deletenothing is perfect and it's all relative, so the kci comment should have compared it to other airports. many have entry halls and security lines--owing to being single terminal--of hundreds of people. hence, the comment on kci is basically inaccurate and non-informative.
ReplyDeleteTerry Riley influential? Hahahaha. Oh God, that is priceless! Hey Tony, Fools Day is in April NOT July!! Terry Riley? Wielding power? Haha!!!
ReplyDeleteWon't be no terrorism at KCI. First of all, most people who aren't from here don't even know Kansas City has an airport. Second of all, most of them have never even heard of Kansas City.
