Kansas City Faith Life Ruckus Tonight!!!

Kansas City voters are asked to take a great many things on faith so the connection to this town's GOLD STANDARD political discussion show is clear.

Check the description for the latest episode of KCPT's RUCKUS . . .

"Mike Shanin interviews producer Steve Mencher about Beyond Belief, a year long project that explores faith in the metro. Then Jamekia Kendrix, Steve Glorioso, Annie Presley and Patrick Tuohey discuss a recent KC Star poll about how to spend KCMO tax revenues, the debate over transgender rules in Kansas and redevelopment plans for the 18th and Vine Jazz District and the Linwood Shopping Center."

  1. I'm not sure how much influence this show has anymore. They're just talking about stuff the star reported last week, which was a week old when they wrote it up.

  2. A TV show of the elites,by the elites, and for the elites. I refuse to watch it.Folks, you better wake up and soon. I've done what I can to distance myself from this dysfunction. I recommend you do the same.

  5. Welcome to FAUX-RUCKUS!!

The weekly Ruckus reviewer is continuing to boycott until they receive word that Ruckus producers have actually had a show featuring 3 Republicans/Libertarians versus a sole Democrat.

Please recall the 2016 YTD tabulation as of last review:

"Of the 18 episodes, through May 19, no less than 14 featured a panel skewed 3-to-1 favoring Democrats (78 percent). Four episodes featured a balanced 2-to-2 panel (22 percent). And exactly ZERO episodes featured a Republican and/or Libertarian dominated panel (0 percent).

Meanwhile...in real news....the BBC has announced the European Union (EU) LEAVE vote will prevail 52-48 percent!!

  6. Is it time for KCexit? Maybe the average British citizen is on to something? Being ruled by faceless bureaucrats who are unaccountable to them and seem never to care what the citzens want or need who spend all their free time either spending the public's money on themselves by building palatial offices, bestowing upon themselves sultan like salaries, attending countless international conferences (who can forget the trip to Italy that nail salon technician and former city clowncil titan Condy Circo comped herself with as a goodbye present before she got term limited off the council) and eating a expensive restaurants and staying in expensive hotels that the average citizen would be lucky to even get a job working at all seem like a piss poor idea for the regular Kansas City voter. Heed the warning of this vote Obese Bowtie and confederates... maybe we will use the referendum process to get rid of you! As they chanted in the 1970's... Power to the people!!!

  9. While the English were worried about their naive notions of sovereignty, they should have been worried about their economy. As of this writing, the Pound has lost 11% against the dollar, & the futures market lost over 700 points. Tomorrow our stock market will crash.

By November they will have given us a real lesson on the failures of native-ism & isolationism. There is only the global market, & instead of building walls we should be tearing them down. No country can go it alone. We are a world, whether we like it or not.

    Jolly good fun for them.

  13. Trumpians will not be able to connect the dots 1217.

Hopefully, the independents with an understanding of Economics 101 will get it.

  14. When phrases like "gold standard" and words like "elites" are used to describe this embarrassment, it shows what a flyover hayseed little mid-west town KC really is.
All the hype over tech, transit, urbanity, art, and all the rest makes the place a laughingstock for folks around the rest of the country, especially the coasts.
In the valley of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

  15. Yes lets not let the stock market go down, Lets import muslims and join the EU and flush our values down the shitter. In the mean time get your ass to the dock. Those ships from China need to be unloaded and we'll pay you $8.50 an hour.

  16. We can see that your 'values' suck. You are the problem.

  17. It's called a global economy. It's not political, it is what is.

In that world, you better be educated and trained in a field that is responsive to that reality.

    Bitching and moaning is valueless.

  20. 6 weeks ago, Trump did not know what Brexit was.

People need to get educated about Nativism in a world economy.

  22. In a world economy, people trade freely
In globalism, people have no say in their countries decisions, corporations do
So who do you want to be governed by?

And I'm better looking than Tom Cruze.

And isolation works in a Global economy.

And the fact that Trump did not know shit about Brexit two days ago really is not of concern.

    Jebuz.
