Until municipalities get serious about addressing the root causes of violence (poverty, education, segregation, jobs) it's shameful that lawmakers would resort to gun legislation, which does nothing to address the root of the problem.

Recall that refugee Vietnamese, among other displaced groups, suffered all the above but never became violent because of it. The effective cause of much if not most of the violent behavior that plagues our community is the ghetto thug culture. And that's not about to be fixed by Mayor's Nights or midnight basketball.

ReplyDeleteThe Democrats have officially become an Orwellian totalitarian party. They are willing to allow the feds to deprive someone of their constitutional rights without due process and when the Republicans wisely do not buy into their fascist scheme they behave like spoiled children.
ReplyDeleteWhat we have repeatedly learned is that you can not count on the government to protect you (particularly any where that Democrats are in charge) and so your best bet is to stock up on guns and ammo in preparation for when the culture war turns hot.
