Kansas City Anti-Violence Efforts Lead Desperate Attempt To Push Gun Control

A comprehensive roundup of anti-violence efforts mentions our cowtown . . . "At least one ceasefire site, in Kansas City, saw a clear drop in homicides in 2014, and then saw violence go up again, even though the strategy continues to be implemented." Not sure if they're accurately describing the KCNoVa and their community outreach efforts but so much about the gun violence issue is debatable.

On the bright side, there's some really encouraging notes in here about gun dealers and anti-violence advocates working together in order to help provide resources for people who know someone with a mental illness that might be capable of harming others. 1. 90 percent your lying ass.

However, there is nothing and has been nothing to stop these weasel KC municipal judges from locking up those possessing illegal guns. But Oh My! That has never happened in this town so, how can you take all the rhetoric seriously?

  2. Ceasefire is the name of the worthless program in Chicago that is known in KC as Aim4Peace.
It's actually unbelievable that any serious reporter would mention some program started by a PhD psychiatrist in a city where there are regularly scores of shootings and tens of murders about every week.
The reasons for KCMO dip in homicides last year are:
    1. particularly cold months of January and February
    2. very poor aim on the part of the usual suspects
    3. excellent work by EMTs and emergency room docs and nurses
It had nothing to do with the millions poured into worthless unaccountable programs, dozens of on-the-city-payroll activists, and ineffectual nonprofits.
The city is well on its way to a 100+ homicide number in 2016. That will be around one-third the number of murders as New York City, which has a population 16 times as large.
A pitiful performance by Sly and the gang.

  3. Recognizing we have a violence problem not a "gun" violence problem.
Recognizing that 90% of the violence problem is black on black crime, black lives do not matter to black people.
Recognizing that blow hard politicians and church leaders LOVE the violence as it makes them more important in their groups, therefore they will blame EVERYTHING except the people who are causing the problem, and that isn't gun totting white america.

  4. Blame guns for bad behavior! That should set up back no less than 100 years.
