TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY SUPPORTERS BEG COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS TO STOP WORKING AS SHILL FOR MAYOR SLY!!!

This post proves difficult but it's written from a place of love, support, and concern for Kansas City's 1st openly gay member of the city council.

Also, this is just a hint of the gossip surrounding council lady Jolie who is already being pushed to skip a second term and run for mayor.

To wit . . .

KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS SUPPORTING COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS HAVE BEGGED HER TO BACK OFF FROM HER UNWITTING ALLEGIANCE TO MAYOR SLY JAMES AND HIS TRAGIC DEVELOPMENT AGENDA!!!

A list of the council lady's recent failures . . .

Justus Crashed And Burned As Airport Committee Chair Whilst Helping Mayor Sly's Doomed Single-Terminal

She was flying high when this plan looked like it had support but now seems silly in her devotion to the Mayor for a scheme that never got off the ground.

Justus Is Drowning In Opposition From Neighborhood Leaders And Crossroads Power Players Amid Petition Push Back Against Liquor Code Changes

A Crossroads petition launched by some of the most powerful people in Kansas City has captured neighborhood support from residents who don't want to turn the downtown arts enclave into a party district. Like it or not, the City Hall scuttlebutt on this episode decries developer allegiance and work for a small cadre of bar buddies that stinks of Mayor Sly's penchant for good scotch.

Now Jolie Justus Could Be Thrown Under The Bus Amid New Transit Legislation!!!

A so-called TOD that's really just a streetcar expansion scheme is the latest foible to force Midtown Kansas City denizens to question the judgement of Council Lady Jolie Justus.

But most importantly and one more time for the cheap seats . . .

SUPPORTERS OF COUNCIL LADY JOLIE JUSTUS SEEM DISAPPOINTED THAT THE LGBT AND NEIGHBORHOOD ADVOCATE IS NOW A SHILL FOR MAYOR SLY'S DEVELOPMENT AGENDA!!!

She's not in Jeff City facing a GOP majority any longer . . . Instead, Council Lady Jolie Justus now confronts neighborhood groups and petitioners who aren't debating the culture war but instead want City Hall to refocus their priorities.

And while the reality is that Council lady Justus still enjoys a great deal of support from the most progressive part of Kansas City . . . Those voters might not be as inclined to unquestioningly back the Jolie Justus makeover that's now distinctly pro-developer more than anything else.

You decide . . .

  1. There are not enough bad LGBT puns in this post. But I see your point.

  2. Tk, you are being too nice to Jolie. She has lost Brookside and if she doesn't run for Mayor she will face a better opponent this time.

She has never won an election against a real challenger and she only stuck into the Missouri senate by a three way run-off.

  3. ^^^ Jolie was in a threeway? That's rad.

  4. Once she went black...she wont come back. Lol

  5. Come on Tony! Jolie told us she what to expect when she was running for her seat. She told us that the art of politics is delivering what the voters don't want in such a way as to wear them down over time rather than all at once. She warned us. What's your issue?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hey you idiots voted her into office so STFU

  9. Shilling for all these development issues is one thing.
But whatever happened to her "high profile" Crime Task Force?
The shootings are more numerous than ever and the number of homicides has reached levels of a couple years ago.
Development can and should be done by private businesses.
Public safety is a CITY RESPONSIBILITY.
As in, the responsibility of elected officials.
So please drop the ribbon-cutting scissors for just a minute, suck it up, and do your jobs.

  12. Is there anyone in local politics who can successfully govern their own waist line?

    ReplyDelete
  13. People of KC set the standards way too low. You want leaders in leadership positions or you are going to keep getting what you are getting. This idea that Missouri government, at almost all levels, is handed down between cronies needs to stop and folks seriously need to look at the agenda and track record of these creepaziods that keep getting elected.

  14. Jolie is another pig at the trough. Despite their reputed intelligence they root and roll around in feces.

    Lipstick.

  15. Gloriosso, another one of Sly's butt boys, is opposing Jolie's liquor law changes in Crossroads!!

  16. Being middle class is a lot like white privilege. The whole point is to be divorced from reality while pretending that your little problems are SO important.

    After all reality bites ...

As Bruce once pointed out, its hard to be a working class hero when you're rich.

  17. Brandon Ellington for Mayor!

But, only if you want someone who will focus on city services, & not be in the pocket of the developers.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Actually you've nailed the problem without intending to. Being divorced from reality and overemphasizing personal feelings of inadequacy are much more the character of those who favor the silly, unipolar white privilege narrative. Every emotion equals oppression, and the enemy is always someone richer, smarter, more successful, or more powerful. The answer is never to pursue individual achievement as a means to foster self-efficacy. The answer is always to engage in racist sloganeering, stamp one's feet, and continue to surf by on low to no expectations. The viciousness of the rhetoric around so-called White Privilege serves to illustrate it's origin in compensatory psychology rather than real analysis of systemic inequality.

  19. Brandon Ellington for mayor? What a joke. He thinks it's okay for blacks to break into people's homes and steal their shit.

Over $100 million and counting with all these TooT TooT TROUBLES causing too many TIMES OUT OF SERVICE!

  29. Poor Tiny, got caught up in the tea-bag echo chamber and can't get out. No one else reads this blog or communicates with him, so he's so out of touch he think CFRG and Show Me Institute have influence in or support from midtown and Brookside.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tony and his out-of-touch circle of "influence" are too stupid to understand TOD policy applies to both buses and streetcars, and does nothing to preclude automobiles from existing and traveling easily.

Tell us about the "crematoriums" and "Agenda 21" Coffey? Or how about how streetcars and the new residents the bring are "like slavery"

    Fucking imbecile.

The key here is a real challenger. If KC doesn't have a better class of representatives then we'll keep getting more people like Jolie Justus who now seems to be in the pockets of her friends and lawyers.

What I don't get is how people read this blog all day long and then say that it doesn't have any influence. If that's true then why are you reading it and commenting on it? Doesn't make any sense.

  32. Voted for Jolie, look forward to voting for her again.
