It's an interesting bit of trivia but hard to believe that a bunch of football fans are really advocating respect for the victims of domestic abuse given that these are the same people who watch musclebound dudes give each other concussions every Sunday afternoon . . .

It's Sunday so I'm guessing that we should assume the hearts of Chiefs fans are pure and they really do care about the NFL response to domestic violence which is a far more interesting topic than any players the team managed to pick up over the past few days.

The chiefs fans are gentle good souls who care about the well being of all oppressed women and people the world over. These are kind individuals who work for the common good and help promote love of God and country before, during and after the game. They're not just a bunch of drunks who like to stuff their face and yell at the TV for fun. Of course not.

You can't expect these athletes, who've been told how special they are for years, to behave like normal people.
I'll take this rare opportunity to agree with Chuck, "Fuck the NFL", & I would include all 'professional' athletes. We need to start at the beginning: People do not deserve a free college education just because they won the genetic lottery.
The scrawny little kid gets a life time of college debt, while the quick & the strong get a free ride? How is this fair?

ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, how fair is it that a black child of well paid black professionals should receive admissions and grant preferences over a white child of poorly paid working class parents? Inequities are everywhere, but the worst are the ones favored by the government.

Why don't you spend some time with your families reading, growing a garden, learning to cook, exercising with the whole family, Enriching yourselves instead of spending Billions watching people whose ONLY redeeming quality is the ability to perform an athletic feet.
I would encourage keeping MMA BUT I want all fighters to take a Gladius in with them so we can just get back to Roman times and watch someone kill someone else in a cage. But then you have to keep the victor in a cage and maybe throw them to a lion or something. I hear polar bears love human flesh, that'll do and it might help people center their love for the environment with their love for human blood shed.
