"Trevon Henry was only 14 at the time of this crime, but Judge Robert Schieber says a repeated history of stealing, lying and misbehaving while in the juvenile system shows that treatment and rehab there hasn't done him any good.
"Henry and another boy are accused of repeatedly stabbing to death Tanya Chamberlain, a stranger who met the boys at a Lee's Summit car wash and allowed them to get in her car. In ordering Henry to be certified as an adult the judge said there is no more violent or vicious a murder than this one. Schieber said it's clear from photos that Chamberlain fought for her life valiantly as she was stabbed over and over again."

ReplyDeleteYou make some decent points, particularly asking what "parents" would allow 13 and 14 year-olds to be out at 2:00am.
Keep in mind that this murder took place with a PEN KNIFE, so the brutality of it is hard to imagine.
Also, the car wash in Lee's Summit is at a very busy intersection to two major four lane roads and is next to a 24-hour Hyvee and a 24-hour Hyvee convenience store. This woman's notion of being in a safe place is perfectly understandable.
I imagine the endless excuses for these kids' behavior will start shortly.
It always seems to be everyone else's fault.

A guy Erick gandarilla was murdered at the Blvd carwash 8 years ago, at 3am by Westside gang punks, the reason he was at the wash is he was a veteran , hard to adjust to normal hours being home.
