Rock Chalk 'Multicultural' Student Government Scheme Stays Losing @ University Of Kansas

As MU still struggles to gain control of constantly protesting students and teachers amid plummeting enrollment . . . KU offers an important teaching moment about some of the bad ideas hatched in the name of diversity.

Money line . . .

"Kansas University Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little has vetoed a $2 student fee funding a separate Multicultural Student Government, leaving the future of such an organization in doubt. The Student Senate had voted March 9 in favor of the fee.

"In a letter sent to the Student Senate on Wednesday, Gray-Little said she could not recommend the fee to the Kansas Board of Regents because "the separate multicultural government for which the fee was created does not exist, nor will the separate government be developed for 2016-2017, the year for which the fee is intended."

  2. Eliminate student government all together. The adults who work and go to school have zero involvement anyway. The student government is not much more than a mamsy pamsy popularity contest like a bad high school hangover. Dump the bullshit, quit wasting resources on something that means little to nothing and for one in this decade start educating the fucking morons that come to school thinking they are going to leave making $100k a year. If the little bastards don't like it let them drop out and go join a fucking gang where they can run things. Tax payers are fed up with the pandering on their dollars.

  4. At least there is one adult at KU. One more than MU.

Want to control the government, then run minority candidates and get elected. This is nothing more than creation of a non-recognized parallel organization whose sole purpose would be to bully and shake down the university.

It was truly amazing how MU was, considering they elected a black student body president.

  5. 1:26 if you eliminate student government where will our next generation of politicians develop their corruption skills. I would be willing to bet that the majority of our congress started as student government leaders. Its a disease with these people, they just want to be in power.

  6. This is not an elimination of student government. It the elimination of fee to pay for a separate form of student government that does not presently exist nor will it ever be approved. It's probably a language problem more than it is a real controversy. Why does diversity have to be funded from separate accounts when the objective of inclusion is to make all cultures inclusive under the existing structure. I applaud this woman for using commonsense.

  7. Why is segregation a great idea when a pack of coons want to do it? If white students tried to set up a separate student government they'd be kicked out of school as RAYSHITZ. Black privilege!

  8. ^^^ What are you talking about? It's multicultural - not black - meaning more than one culture or ethnicity.

You don't hear the Mexicans, Jews, Arabs, Lilliputians or anyone else bellyaching and whining.

  12. MU = thug life. I wouldn't send my kids there for all the tea in China. Remember when you could say that without someone calling you a racist?
