Here's an optimistic take of the Save Kemper effort that's mostly based on the public not understanding the finances of the place and how much it's going to cost everybody in the long run to maintain a youth rec center that is unlikely to ever turn a profit because suburban parents aren't going to take their kids to the railroad tracks in order to play basketball.

Don't worry hicks from the sticks. In a few years the city cronies will start talking up how shitty and useless Sprint Center is and you'll witness the citizens spend billions on a new arena while handing the keys over to another bunch of hucksters like AEG.
