KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE #38 OVERNIGHT!!!



Another local killing starts this Kansas City morning as bullets and rain fall overnight.

Here's the story . . .

On Wednesday just after 11 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of East 66th Street on a sound of shots call.

When officers arrived, they found a female victim inside a vehicle in a residential driveway. She had apparent gunshot wounds.

This is the 38th Kansas City murder so far this year compared to 32 at this time last year which as a 36% increase over the year before that . . .

As always, anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

    This is how you should write each homicide headline. It makes it much easier to keep track of for readers who've missed a day or two of news.
    It used to be that heat set the darkies off. Now rain must do it too.

  9. Did this womans' car windows break in the rain storm? The public has been warned about broken windows and that being the sole reason why people die in these situations. The public should take heed. Broken windows kill. --- Daryl Forte

    One would think with all the shootings officers in Kansas Cty see they wouldn't have any issues at all in knowing what a gunshot victim looked like. Good to know the fire dept. knows what a shooting victim looks like and explained to the police officers the lady was really dead.
