The Missouri SJR39 Religious Freedom Resolution has made the Show-Me State the laughing stock of the nation along with other states working on similar useless legislation given that every biz has the right to refuse service for reasons they don't have to explain.
But rather than anyone showing any common sense in this argument even as most reasonable political denizens know this is simply a silly culture war issue intended to divide and inspire some voters . . . The controversy about gay wedding cake rages on . . .
This week Kansas City's biz community attempted to garner some good press by touting their LGBT alliance but their solidarity seems kinda empty given that these are the same pro-tax corporate welfare enthusiasts who have their boot on the neck of all Kansas City residents and they're really only after chasing more customers . . . Ultimately, the ridiculousness of this entire gay wedding cake slap fight can't really be confronted with reason . . .

If a black woman sits at your lunch counter & you deny her service, some people are going to want to know why, & you better have a good reason.

ReplyDeleteIt isn't about denying service to gays. The cake thing is about gays wanting special accommodations and non traditional products not made by the shop. There is a huge difference. If the fag would have just asked for a wedding cake that would be one thing. Asking for a wedding cake with two grooms on top and gay decorations the shop does not stock is quite another situation. No one needs to be converting a business they built with their own money because someone does not like what they have to sell. Just like I do not have to tolerate some gay guy disrupting my privacy in a bathroom just because the fag thinks their feelings are the only ones that matter.
I would suggest that those who think they are going to force their agendas down mainstream Americas throats are the ass holes.
The same logic could be applied to make a black business cater a KKK event.
