SLEAZE SUMMIT COUNCIL DUDE CHRIS MORENO WRITES AN EXTENSIVE POLEMIC REGARDING HIS TAKE ON THE TRANSGENDER TOILET POLITICAL ISSUE AMID CONSTITUENT CONCERN!!!
Turns out Councilman Moreno talked with Target top brass regarding the issue and here's what seems to be the money line of his thoughts . . .
Lee's Summit Councilman Chris Moreno: "As a Christian, topics like this are so unfortunate. On one hand, I truly believe everyone deserves respect, and God's amazing love. On the other hand, it is absolutely vital that we protect the safety of all in our community. And we are certainly obligated to go to extra measures to ensure the safety of our children.
"For me, and those that reached out to me, the concern is not necessarily Transgender individuals, but sexual predators that are most certainly taking advantage of policies similar to this. From what I learned today, I say rightfully so.
"Here is what was relayed to me. Target is headquartered in Minneapolis which has gender identity laws on the books, so they are making corporate policy nationwide to mirror their locally required policy. Neither Missouri, nor Lee's Summit has such a policy.
"They will not stop or question anyone from entering any restroom due to this policy. They will continue to use security cameras to monitor the store as normal protocol. As of now, they have no intention of putting staff inside or outside of the restroom at all times to ensure the safety of customers. They also do not have plans to build gender neutral restrooms in front of the store for those that may be transgender.
"Their policy is essentially reactive. If something happens inside the restroom, the store will react if someone notifies them or they notice something odd on security cameras. I informed them that this is very troubling, and that we in Kansas City need not look any further than the Kelsey Smith Case, as to how effective such a reactive policy can be . . . "

Either way, most of what happens in Lee's Summit isn't important but a new councilman engaging in a Missouri culture war is notable given widespread Missouri debate over the merits of a "religious exemption bill" and the topic of toilet rights overtaking most of the political conversation that doesn't already belong to GOP presidential candidate Trump.

Nothing against mr Moreno, but you can always spot a politician that wants to move up from office to office. They never stop getting their face in the news and always have to involve themselves in everything

ReplyDeleteWhat's really troubling is how easily worthless legislators like Chris Moreno keep inserting themselves into other peoples bathrooms. Could it be a desire to keep people safe from sexual predators as suggested, or more likely his latent "glory hole" or "foot tapping" fetishes coming to the surface? Either way, the best use for our inherently pathetic & ignorant legislators would be for each of them stand guard in the Target bathrooms of their choosing rather than waste everyone's time in Jefferson City accomplishing nothing. Preferably with an AK-47 strapped across their backs. That way, they get to fulfill both of their fantasies of being a real man, and the pivot man in the circle jerk.

ReplyDeleteB) If you run the numbers, the amount of convicted sexual predators to the amount of the US population is less than 1% (.02%).
C) Several other sources report ZERO cases of Trans people assaulting people in bathrooms.
D) So, as a female, does this type of legislation open me up to prosecution if I need to use the Men's restroom if the women's is over-occupied??
And finally, WHY ARE WE WASTING OUR TIME AND MONEY ON THESE NON-ISSUES?

Your arguments on the percentage of transgenders and sex offenders is irrelevant. And your comment about transgenders not attacking people in restrooms isn't the issue or whom we are afraid of.
ReplyDelete8:54 I agree we are wasting a lot of time on this but also remember the number of transgender persons is probably as low as the number of sexual predators and we have not had a problem in the 100+ years of public restrooms so why now? I personally don't care if a dyke in overalls wants to use the urinal beside me as long as she doesn't splash.

ReplyDelete10:03 and others who are clueless about the concerns of the MAJORITY of Target's customers (married women with children): I am a woman and a mother of a 10-year old daughter. I AM a woman who IS scared that sexual predators and perverts WILL have an open license to enter the women's restroom without consequence. The issue is not the handful of genuine transgender people, but the more likely larger number of pedophiles and other sexually dangerous predators who are now a bigger danger for us. It used to be that a man dressed in men's clothing could be reported to management if he waltzed into the ladies room. Now, a woman and child can only report something AFTER they are harmed, raped, molested, or in some way violated. By then the perpetrator would likely also already be gone, too! Like it or not, the male body is usually physically stronger than a female body and CAN exert force over the most intellectually capable woman! That's biological fact. So as an intelligent woman who recognizes the disadvantage of a typical woman's body, I am horrified about the dangers that are now heightened for myself and my daughter if we pull down our pants and a man has easy access to harm us. It used to be that such a danger was low, but now it is statistically much higher just because predators now know they can get away with entering the women's restroom! Furthermore, the percentage of "convicted" sexual preadators is MUCH LOWER than the actual number of predators in our society. Many more never get caught, convicted, or reported in the first place. Also, for those who claim that transgender people are never guilty of such crimes, A.) That is itself a stereotype that may or may nit be true about their entire population, and B.) For most of us outraged about Target's bathroom policy, the issue with us is not even about the handful of cross dressing men. THE ISSUE IS SEXUAL PREDATORS and the fact that this policy now puts a lot of us more in danger. It is a SAFETY concern!

ReplyDeleteSo, inside the privacy of a closed room a rape, stabbing, or whatever without live witness can easily take place. By the time the attacker strolls out, and maybe noone enters that bathroom for an hour or more, a victim suffers and dies.
It can happen today, but it's more likely once the public is conditioned and law allows males in what is intended as a female bathroom. Little girls, especially, have the right to be safeguarded. Private owned potties may do as desired and find out if oppositional forces vote with their feet. Schools, libraries and municipalities should have to comply with the voters' mandates on the potty protocols.
Given that Target can't protect the consumer credit data they hoard it seems only natural that they would go after the fag market before falling behind Kmart.
