Here's a quick note from our pal Craig regarding his weekend adventures . . .
Blue Collar Star Comes Home: James Johann At Stanfords
James Johann was one of the original members of THE 'Blue Collar' tour. Starring Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworhty, Ron White and Bill Engvall. I was there in Los Angeles where all of them started the first tour. James Johann was the 'fifth' star. James opened the shows and was every bit as good as the crew. However James has a different manager than the boys. So 'their' people put him with the hottest star of the day, Larry the Cable Guy, and James and Larry did tons of theaters and arenas across America together. However it took James off the official 'blue collar' tour. Thus his name was dropped and he became the 'fifth' Beatle so to speak. James toured with Larry for quite some time. In fact his big moment was coming home to Kansas City where he stared doing Kemper Arena to a sold out crowd. Just the two of them and James was every bit as good as Larry.
Johann is from Miami County in Kansas. He started his career at Stanfords in Westport. He was discovered at a show there by the William Morris Agency and went on from there. Johann went on to be on CMT tv, late night tv with Craig Ferguson, and now is national radio's 'Rural Genius.' Johann now lives in Kansas City where he raises his daughter and travels from here.
James Johann will be at Stanford and Sons this weekend tonight through Sunday. He is on stage with former KC guy Jeff Vaughn. If you like the clean cut middle America humor he is one of the best. We now have a second showroom called 'the second room' by the restaurant shows on Friday and Saturday nights at 9 and 11 pm for area comics.
Some fun shows coming up that are not comedy on weekday nights. Professional Midget Wrestling for the first time in Overland Park on May 17th. The return of Chippendales, '50 Shades of Men' Tuesday and Wednesday May 31 and June 1st. 'Hollywood Knockouts' June 7 and 8th, female playmates wrestle in oil. Fun stuff. Tickets on sale now.

ReplyDeleteMy third post on this site. The troll at 1:28 is the same one from the other posts, uses same language. CRAIG GLAZER was never banned from Entercom for using foul language to anyone. LOZLO had him banned as an employee fearful of Glazer cause LOZLO and his group badmouthed Glazer like the hater on here. Lying like they do. I worked there I know. Hope Stanfords sues Entercom. I would. Just sayin. P.S. I am a comic and Johann is awesome.

ReplyDeleteAJ, KY has been off the air for over eight years now, so you claiming or having claims of being on the inside at Entercom are a little out there, to say the least concerning this event. But Max Floyd and others at Entercom are acquaintances of mine, and I left Max a message checking your story out and will see what he says about you. I am to ask some others questions as well. But I question your story and from what I know, Craig is the one who might need to be worried the most about getting sued. But in all reality, nobody is going to sue anyone and Entercom has dealt with the issue. It appears people such as yourself are the ones who haven't accepted what happened.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's all true Roric. I am a Stanfords fan, have been for years, been to the spot at Rosana Overland Park, nice. Restaurant food is very good. They have some of comedies biggest names. I saw three shows out there since it opened, Coulier, TJ Miller and Chris Kattan. All major names, great shows, well Kattan wasn't my fav, but a big name. People bitch and hate on Craig. Why? He's a somebody. In the media too much I suppose. Hey I'm 47 and I think he's a walkin, talkin show. Love him on Dare. Funny boys. The price of fame now is hate.

A simple solution to the issue here is for Craig and his so-called radio buddies to all do a story and submit it to Tony. Then Tony can put it all out in the open here for all to see if what they claim is true. Any bets on Craig, this Finney, and Roric won't all come out in the open and make public, a published stance, with real facts and evidence on it? Didn't Hearne do a story on this then all of a sudden clam up about it? Would seem if Craig was actually innocent of any wrongdoing, Hearne would write a story a day to exonerate his name, but he hasn't. Lashing out here in the comments at commentators isn't how you address the issue. Real men, men with real balls, would go public and address the issue. The real truth I believe needs to come out in print by Craig himself so his so-called friends can stop looking silly trying to defend him. What says you, Craig?
