TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY TOP ECHELON INSIDER REVEALS SECRET CONTINGENCY PLAN TO ELIMINATE ALL CAR AND TRUCK TRAFFIC FROM TOY TRAIN STREETCAR LINE!!!

The toy train streetcar is soon to create unprecedented trouble along busy Downtown Kansas City streets as transit advocates devise a drastic plan soon to be revealed if/when emergency arises.

Here's FIRST word warning that we'll have to bookmark when you d-bags claim it won't happen, and then it happens. . .

AMID AN IMPENDING DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY CRISIS . . . THE TOY TRAIN AUTHORITY PREPARES TO BAN ALL TRUCKS AND CARS ALONG THE STREETCAR ROUTE!!!

Call it foreshadowing but have you ever noticed how all of those drawings for the toy train streetcar don't include any other cars???

Here's a quick quote from a TOP ECHELON INSIDER TKC DENIZEN who describes the sitch best . . .

"There's no other way to make the streetcar viable and avoid traffic backed up to the highway. A simple stalled car in front of a streetcar will show the devastating impact to traffic throughout downtown. After a few traffic jams, KC drivers will be begging for this step. Remember, the streetcar route is a relatively short distance and the reality is that a car break down and the possibility of multiple collisions and lawsuits every day will also necessitate this move . . ."

Expect the language of the upcoming declaration to include a great deal of hype about "open streets" that the city previewed in other parts of town at great cost to taxpayers.

Already, our blog community has noted that Delaware St. is a disaster in the making and CLEARLY wasn't design to hold streetcars and convenient parking.

No streetcar passing rules for cars, extreme limitations on truck deliveries and even advice to cyclists to stay off the route have offered a sneak peek of Kansas City literally putting the streetcar ahead of everyone else . . . Luckily, this SECRET PLAN EXPOSED 1ST ON TKC offers yet another glimpse at the insidious nature of toy train streetcar advocates and their despicable schemes.

  3. See you guys at the grand opening of the streetcar and the groundbreaking of the convention hotel. In the meantime I'm watching the ongoing construction of the Port KC sponsored Corrigan building in the crossroads. Looks like those projects stay winning

KC politicians lie about their real plans? That couldn't ever happen.

  5. Fuck it, I just won't come downtown anymore. Let's see, that's the Plaza, P&L, Waldo, ANY mall anywhere. Amazon.com here I come. Oops, I have lousy TWC......

  6. ahahahahaha

Tony you're the biggest sucker we know. You'll believe anything.

    This just proves it.

  7. The anti-everything league must be getting pretty desperate I see. Nervous about that extension vote, huh? I would be too, if I was one of the 30% minority of SW corridor voters against it.

  8. Suddenly it all makes sense. My question always was: Why do they think anybody will ride the trolley when it really doesn't go anywhere?

Answer: We'll fix it so they HAVE to ride it.

Best thing about downtown KCMO is there's barely any reason to go there, so I won't miss it much. Oh, the jobs there? In another 10 years, they will all have moved to Overland Park.

  9. This will be a smart move for Kansas City. We must get away from dangerous carbon emitting vehicles and gluttonous consumption of fossil fuels. We will move KC forward. We will pass the earnings tax on April 5th. We are making KC best in the nation.

  10. I suspect a new local sport will be lacing up the running shoes and running the rail and then waiting for the streetcar to arrive half and hour later while sipping a coffee.

  11. And this was a surprise? It's like they said the Airport would have moving walkways and because of cost didn't do it. This was because their was not enough room to install them.

    ReplyDelete
  12. What KC is going to do with all this bullshit is guarantee that a whole shitload of people just wont go anywhere near the area for fear of all the crap surrounding these trains. For fuck sakes they don't even have the things online yet and it already sounds like too damn much work.

  13. Democrats turning KC into a Detroit, Chi-town Demo-sewer!!

  14. We knew this was going to happen.
I went to several presentations of BikeWalkKC .
This organization was formed from a group outta Denver.
Many of these groups suck up many government grants awarded to cities.
They want to FORCE their agenda down people's throats.
The also want to eliminate all traffic through wesport and Grand St. in tbe Crossroads District.
They dont care if it makes it
difficult for handicap /elderly or physically challenged.
Slydog promoted the zealots outrageous agenda. ..now its going to bite him and former &present ccity council members in the ass...all tbe while sucking grants dry

  17. "Nervous about that extension vote, huh?"

Not nervous at all unless you decide to cheat again.

    Remember what happened last time?

An expansion of the city's streetcar system is failing with 61 percent against and 39 percent for.

  18. Stop the fucking presses. The world will soon come to a complete stop. My god are you totally delusional Tony ? Only a idiot would continue to babble about a street car that has been built and will run daily. Cars or no cars. Who cares ?

Me, I'm more concerned about getting on the street car and getting shot or mugged by a nigger. Niggers are a danger, not a street car. Niggers killed over a 100 in Kansas City last year. Street car didn't kill a single sole.

  19. Actually, 4:25pm, the owners of the hotel, streetcar, and other "projects" stay winning.
The people who have to pay for them and carry the debt and redirected tax revenue will stay losing for decades.
    And that would be YOU.

  20. Why not eliminate the streetcar instead? And eliminate Troy Schulte as city manager as well

  21. Jesus. Does anyone besides me remember the disaster that was Elpido Rocha's two lane art project in downtown KCK?

For 6 months, I was the Art Tzar there, 1973, Executive Director of the Civic Arts Council of KCK. It completely ruined downtown KCK. Had to be ripped out. Those who forget the lessons of history are condemned to repeat them.

This too will be ripped out. And thank you, Tony, for reminding us what a colossal and expensive and outdated disaster the Toy Train is.

Tracy Thomas, who actually lived at 25th & Wood, and worked at City Hall in KCK in 1973 before going to the National Endowment for the Arts.

  22. Elpidio.

Sorry. I was so upset I didn't proof my typing.

  23. do we remember 1973?

    KC doesn't remember last week.

  24. I remember that jack up BS in KCK. I knew one of the dipshit squirrels responsible for making that happen and he said then, "Wwho cares if it works, it looks cool and will be awesome on my resume." And thats what it's all about making a few look cool while the rest of the population suffers with dealing with it. Oh by the way the clown I knew in the KCK Minnesota Ave. disaster lived out in Overland Park the whole time he worked for the city.

  25. In '73 the yuuuuge white flight was underway in good 'ol DIRTY TRIX POLITIX KCK. We were stuck there for awhile with the other FD/PD/BPU/etc. employees' kids. Those downtown Dotte 'pylons' and zigzag, kiddie roller coaster narrow-ass road 'on the Avenue' was friggin' FUBAR! The ample, convenient storefront parking was done away with, we were told, for encouraging walking while enjoying an artscaped city center--HA! We rode bikes, rollerskated, soaped the fountains and water ballooned kids from rival CYO teams. We didn't venture there after DARK--no whud om sayun?

  26. After the 76 convention it has all gone down hill. Blame jimmy Carter. The second worst President in history. Just the facts, truth hurts Democrats.

  30. Let's get real.

People prefer to drive their cars, with windows that roll up and doors that lock.

    Why is that?

Because who in the hell wants to be on the sidewalks, totally defenseless, with the residents of Killer City?

    Not me.

Oh sure. When YOU walk the sidewalks of downtown KC, all you see is fellow suburban commuters, some of whom even wear suits and Italian shoes.

But we're talking about the other 16 hours of the day. Walk those sidewalks then and your head will end up on a stick.

  31. I'm probably the first on record *requesting* this as far back as 2013. I opposed the streetcar but we're getting it and with all the problems it creates, we're going to get our best ROI by diverting vehicle traffic to Walnut and Baltimore.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What traffic? There's peak hours and big events, but outside that Main St doesn't have any traffic on it.

It's possible to walk down the middle of Main at 18th on a Sunday and not be worried about being hit because the only car will see you from three blocks away.
