Amid more conversation about controversial convictions, KCTV5 offers this important jail house interview . . . Man convicted for killing 6 firefighters says he's innocent

  1. This investigation and story are Kansas City's Kennedy Assassination. Theories, conspiracies, shady characters and perhaps prosecutorial missteps.

Again, the Kansas City Star has done yeoman's work on this story. In depth, detailed and unbiased in their investigation, the story is ongoing and the Star has added facts and opinions as it has evolved.

Of course, I can't find the link.

    :(

Too bad, the Star, a biased, agenda driven "journalistic" endeavor, rarely covers itself in glory anymore. This time they did.

  2. I've got to read this since I was young when it happened? You think they didn't do it Chiefs Chuck?

  3. I honestly don't know. I knew Frank and some of the reprobates he ran with back in the day. Frank and his brother were South KC low level criminals. I didn't know his brother, but Frank was actually not a bad guy. I do know for certain, that Frank would never have intentionally killed anyone. I realize that is not what he is accused of, but again, he was a local street tough who drank too much and did some drugs. Garden variety low life who came from exactly where I came from.

I would not be surprised to find out that they didn't do it.

  4. Charlie Manson says he is innocent as well. In fact you will find jails full of nothing but people who say they are innocent.

Your point is well taken. Again, read about this event, especially the coverage by the Star (I still can't find it. It is lengthy, but well worth the read.). There are many, many, many inconsistencies and unanswered questions about this explosion and the deaths of these fireman.

Look, if they did it, I say Fuck 'em. The thing is, after looking into it and indeed knowing a few of the actors in this sad play, I am not so sure the right guys are in jail, or that there isn't a hell of a lot of "Reasonable Doubt".

    Just my opinion.

    Chuck,
I remember this very well, as I laid in bed listening to the radio traffic that night.
I'm not nor was KCFD by the way.
But I also know if you dig long enough, hard enough, you can come up with some reasonable doubt on about anything.
You all think OJ was guilty but a jury said not. This jury said yes and now you want to say they are not guilty. See my point here?
By the way Rod Anderson who I know, also says he is still innocent.

  8. He probably is innocent. Politicians, lawyers and judges in Kansas City have been using the criminal justice system as their own personal vendetta machine. And nobody will ever be the wiser because checks and balances in Missouri is a joke. The Missouri Supreme Court won't punish these assholes. Once they are appointed to judgeship, it's a political smokescreen. There's nobody you can complain to outside of the Missouri Supreme Court. A federal judge will assume that they have no authority to interfere. So, I believe he could be innocent. People making careers on bogus verdicts while regular people who have no hope, money or defense are made to suffer. You can accuse anybody of just about anything - and the accused will never be able to prove otherwise. That's why so many innocent people get locked up and media sensationalizes trials so much that average people cannot discern the real from the fake. It's assumed everyone had a fair trial. It's your job to prove you didn't. Good luck! You can't prove what you weren't prepared to prove; and you cannot recreate history.

  9. Chuck, the Bear rides with you on this one. I remember well when that all came down. There was heavy duty pressure coming down to solve that crime, and solve it fast.

Seems when there is that much pressure, the Man always has a patsy in the woods somewhere close by. Now let the Bear drop the disclaimer. He has been sipping a few Jacks today, BUT, there sure seems to be reasonable doubt that this "Kit Kat bandit" may have been the convenient patsy to get the heat levels down from scalding to luke warm.

That's the Bear's take on this and he don't give a flying fuck what any of you snarky cocksuckers has to say back. You can have your own opinion on this and that's cool. So fuck off and get back to blowing that nig nob you are so fond of.

  10. I agree with Chuck and Bear on this one.

  13. We need Netflix to do a mini series, I enjoyed the one in Wisconsin Making a murderer I think it was titled. Be nice to have a story close to home. I remember this event well. My wife called me in the middle of the night from Research hospital after giving birth to our daughter. She said she was scared and thought the helecoptor crashed into the hospital. I told her it was the pain medication. The next morning, not knowing what had occurred, I drove out to Research hospital to bring home my wife and our new baby. When I got to the hospital all the windows were blown it, the display cases in the lobby were everywhere with broken glass covering the floor and the hospital looked like it had been attacked. I really felt bad that I had not gone out in the middle of the night when my wife called. It must have been one hell of an experience as she reminds me often.
