TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! MISSOURI STATE TREASURER ROCK STAR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE PAT CONTRERAS PULLS EPIC KANSAS CITY SUPPORT!!!
Pat Contreras has an impressive amount of support from the Missouri Democratic Party and tonight in Kansas City his "rising star" status was confirmed with an enthusiastic crowd of supporters gathered tonight.
For a sleepy Monday night after the Thanksgiving holiday, some of this town's top power brokers seemed enthusiastic in showing their support.
Here's a quick look at the gathering along with just a few insights.
From the Jackson County Prosecutors Office . . .
Local law dudes Ted Hughes and Crispin Rea were among the crowd.
A bit of hometown support . . .
Design dude Eric Negrete seemed hopeful about the chances of Mr. Contreras . . .
Power broker consultant Shawn Borich and Former Council Dude John Sharp were on hand tonight as well.
Mr. Borich was exceptionally helpful in terms of understanding this rising star candidate from the perspective of an insider:
"I think we're looking at Missouri Democrats excited about finding new people to take leadership roles and the party is looking to 'build its bench' and looking into the future . . ."
Maybe a few more insights on this front later . . .
Here's a few more denizens in the crowd. All wearing name tags:
Again, altogether a crowd of about 100 for this statewide contender who is a political newbie but looks for an upset victory.
Developing . . .
And this post ended not with a bang, but a whimper.
ReplyDeleteAbout as exiting as Lamar Odom’s latest whorehouse escapade.
ReplyDeleteexciting... sorry bout the typo... burp
ReplyDelete"I think we're looking at Missouri Democrats excited about finding new people to take leadership roles and the party is looking to 'build its stench' (a strong and very unpleasant smell) and looking into the future . . ."
ReplyDeleteSame old hangers-on hoping to hitch a ride with some new guy and stay "relevant".
ReplyDeleteAnd the latest "rising star".
It's not hard to see why the voter turnout is so low.
On Primary Election night next August, this sorry latino will be calling Judy Baker and asking her what he can do for her State Treasurer campaign in the General Election.
ReplyDeleteIs this the same Borich that they made the movie about?
ReplyDeleteWith all the Dark Meat he has eaten over the years, John Sharp does not count as an Anglo anymore.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is not the the biggest political news of the night: Our sister, Jessica Podhola announced tonight that she "is in" the contest to fill the open state senate seat vacated by the retirement of Paul LeVota.
ReplyDeletetoo many Democrats in kcmo, this is part of our problem. we need to be truly nonpartisan in our politics.
ReplyDeletePodhola has too much baggage even in a "girl power" year.
ReplyDeleteTony, why didn't you get a picture of Theresa Garza's tits tonight?
ReplyDelete"the retirment of Paul Levota"
ReplyDeleteAre you fucking kidding?
All face and no character. What do these people stand for other than themselves?
ReplyDeleteJessica P. stands for Chrystal Williams... as does Judy Baker. No wonder that both campaigns have shown disrespect for Mr. Contreras in the comments on here tonight. We should all remember who did that.
ReplyDeleteUpset victory... The current treasurer is a democrat. There isn't a republican of any note yet. Upset victory over whom?
ReplyDeletewho let that White guy into a Democrat meeting?
ReplyDeleteI'm upset that we can't get better representation.
ReplyDelete"Never believe everything you see on the internet"-

Pat is a good guy, hope he wins. Missouri would be lucky to have him as a Treasurer.
ReplyDeleteOld liver spots is still kicking, huh? (aka Former Council Dude John Sharp) Who would of thunk it. Thought he'd be six feet under within months of his exit from the council.
ReplyDeleteLooking at all those sand fleas makes me want to blow a giant turd. Grrrrrrrunt. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is free speech I can endorse!
another PC candidate & la cuca raza dreamer- reality will set in soon enough that this "rising star" is just another bright light casting many dark shadows over KC
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteBut who is the alternative? If there's anybody better let us know @5:38 just sounds like racist and uninformed ranting.
Pat Contreras is a great candidate, he will do well as our state treasurer!
ReplyDeleteAll the old farts with your anonymous themes, "so cute" ,...sighs,...do the world a favor & go into earlier retirement, you seem to hit rock bottom, being misinformed & sad is a sign that your time is over,"out with the old in with the new". ;-) LOL.
ReplyDelete-FORD
