Once again the Mayor is mistaken in his latest crusade to take on the 2nd Amendment and make appointments to political allies rather than address neighborhood concerns over his corporate agenda.
The Mayor's latest tactic against rising local murder numbers . . . Another commission, probably with pre-signed resignation letters . . .
"The mayor is seeking creative solutions since the state of Missouri preempts gun control measures that the city might want to enact . . .
"In an email to his council colleagues, James wrote, “In response to the increase in gun violence in our community this year, I will convene a cadre of community stakeholders that will work to develop pragmatic policies and recommendations to address violence in our community.”
"The task force will be co-chaired by Councilwoman Jolie Justus, a former Missouri state senator who is very familiar with the Missouri General Assembly, and Andres Dominguez of the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
"The other members will be announced at a Wednesday press conference, and the group is expected to meet periodically over the course of one year."
The Mayor's anti-gun message has been consistent and sometimes against the law . . .

If you had done better than a "D" in your Constitutional History class in 10th grade, you would be aware that none of the rights embedded in the Constitution is without limits. They can't be sold to children (although ass wipes that can't seem to keep their guns out of the hands of minors are all too prevalent) felons, mentally ill individuals, etc. Straw man purchases are illegal and various types of firearms are not allowed.
