  1. Good for her, overall this is a win for Kansas City.

  3. Sly knows his place and what time of day it is. Bill Cosby had to learn the hard way. Looks like the Mayor decided to choose his battles. It's cowardice on Sly's part but still impressive on Kathy's part. Kathy is a winner.

  4. Applause for standing up against the liberal demecrats of this city with Sly dog as commander in chief.

This is why I voted for her and why she has always had my support. We need more members of the council to start doing this!

  6. Sly needs to go, another term is much too long.

    ReplyDelete
  7. He is mistaken if he thinks he can buy her off, this is only the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  8. A big positive for the 4th Council District. Applaud mayor for finally making the decision.

  9. Yawn. So she is pushy enough to finally get her way.

This crew would support the Village idiot if he pissed off Sly.

So you're saying Sly pissed himself? Sounds about right!

  11. If Carson wins the Rethuglican Nomination, what will the poor racists do?

  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^^
    Good point!

  13. I don't know Byron, what will you do? You are the biggest poor racist here.

  14. This fat, nasty bitch is going to be a pain in the ass for another four years. She's just a power crazy hog, looking for some more publicity.

  15. The P&Z and Economic Development Committee is pretty much nothing more than a rubber stamp for the insider development swells, so it doesn't matter who's on it except for the council members themselves who can use their appointments to do some serious schmoozing, shake down folks for campaign contributions, and line up post city council jobs.
Who's on the public safety committee? Or has that been discontinued due to the complete solving of the crime and murders in the city?
Sly's real priorities become more obvious every day.

  16. Ben Carson would sure as hell be an upgrade over the Socialist, anarcho-tyrannist, "pen and phone" Fascist, racially divisive, "If I Had A Son" "Lets send the Attorney General to Michael Brown's funeral like he was an assassinated saint, dictator we have in the White House right now.

Byron no one really cares what anyone looks like, they like the guy because of his conservative views and the promise that he will not be just another fuck head Republican or Democrat who does zilch when he is elected.

  17. Be careful what you wish for, Katheryn Shields is no saint, On January 6, 2007, the day before she was scheduled to file for Mayor of KC, she and her husband Phil Cardarella were indicted on federal charges of wire fraud in connection with the sale of their Sunset Hills house; prosecutors said the sale was at an inflated price. According to the alleged scheme Shields and her husband would receive $707,000 if they agreed to let an appraiser appraise it at $1.2 million with the appraiser and cohorts collecting the difference (the house had been on the market for $700,000)

  18. Old news, 7:08, and the case was dismissed.

Are Sly's minions up and posting already this morning (4:44 & 7:08)?

    ReplyDelete
  19. There is a lot of "old news" about Katheryn because she is crooked as a dog's hind leg.

You can call Katheryn's public record "old news" or you can call it a "rap sheet."

    I am not a crook.

  21. 7:33 the case was not "dismissed." Several of Shields' associates went to prison in that case. Had the prosecutors focused on her husband Phil Cardarella, there is strong reason to believe that he would have gone to prison along with the co-conspirators. The prosecutors made a strategic mistake.

US v. William Waris was never dismissed and that case contains sworn testimony that documents Katheryn Shields committed bribery.

  24. If nothing else, Katherine will teach the other members how to act as a representative of something other than the Mayor. The past council floated through their 4 years rubber stamping whatever he wanted. If you asked them for support on most any issue they would suggest you get the Mayors support first and all would fall in place. Most, not all, would only offer support after Sly was on board. Even fewer would try to convince him to change his mind. It was well known that he selected Circo as his Pro Tem because he viewed her as no threat to his administration and as part of a deal with the Firefighters. The fact that he chose Wagner this time casts a negative light on his leadership abilities and independence. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to watch a circus either, just show some reason to take up space at city hall.

  25. This didn't accomplish shit for Kansas City. It makes for drama in the news, but Shields has already proven her primary goal is not about serving the citizens.

    ReplyDelete
  26. She beat a rag doll to make her comeback. Glover never went negative and he did not even make a complaint to the FBI when he was told about voter fraud in the Freedom Wards.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sly gets bent over a chair and corn holed by the resurgent CW Shields. Weak Sly!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Actually, this is a win-win situation.

Sly was getting some bad advice from staff, and was big enough to recognize and correct the problem.

You can like Shields or not, but she is tough and smart and experienced in government. That is what it takes to ask the right questions and get straight answers.

  29. Score one for tenacity and guts!
    GO KATY! GO KATY!
