  1. They're pretty fast and loose with the cost projections on this one.

How much do you think the county will pay to build a memorial for 10 years?

  2. These people have such huge egos and such low morals. They seem to have no problem spending our money to further puff themselves up.

  3. Mike will be trying to dig through a wall to freedom soon.

  4. Same names. Margaret May has nothing to do with civil rights. Circle of friends network is in full effect. Civik Rights is broader than Black people. Not one LGBT person appointed. The county is off track...way off.

  5. Better idea right here = They should make a memorial to all the kids who have been killed this year.

  6. If Tony says "controversial return", does that mean it is accurate or factual?

I think I am beginning to understand this blogging crap.

Anyone wonder if Mayor James was really born in the US?

  7. I agree. 10:18am has a better, progressive way to look at things. Anybody championing civil rights while children continue to be murdered month after month has missed the mark.

  8. This is a bad joke on the community. There is not a great demand for this memorial and this area has a lot more wrong with it that a slab of concrete won't fix.

  10. Where is Toni Bones? She is the most prominent civil rights leader in Kansas City today. Now take that as you will, but I challenge anyone to name someone doing more work for civil rights in KC today than her.

  11. Mike and James are going to be cell mates!

  12. 10:56 Smith & Wesson is doing a great job

  13. I heard it from a kick ass tipster that Toni Bones has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and that she is the favorite to win it and that she is making plans for going to Sweden this December to receive it.

  14. You can joke about how someone so ridiculous as Toni Bones is the leader of civil rights in KC. But that doesn't make it any less true. And that should shame all freedom loving Americans reading this. Civil rights aren't black rights. Civil rights are the defense of our GOD GIVEN rights, enumerated in the Constitution, and again I ask, who other than Toni Bones is leading the charge for civil rights in KC?

Tip: An intelligent commenter would respond "Crosby Kemper", though I wouldn't wager any such commenters are present.

    Mr. Tony,
Another sad and foolish action made by Tindall. I will be glad when the real County Exec, Tindall, is forced out of the courthouse. His shenanigans are boring and costly.

  16. Actually Bones in is Washington,D.C. to see the Pope, but the Secret Service arrested her. She dropped to her knees and kissed his tool rather than his ring. Again she is victim to a government out of control and out to get her. The pope did sign up for crotch block, however.

  17. 11:48 Yes, Kemper. Also, Sr. Berta at Operation Breakthrough, where families empower themselves through support services to have success in work and family life. She will say it's a wider community caring about each other, not an appointed few, partnering with each other because we're all family. A saintly and no-nonsense educator, Sr. Berta encourages everyone doing their best for themselves and each other in all circumstances.

  18. I like the Homicide Memorial idea. Make the people who wear the No Snitching T-Shirts (or subscribe without the shirt) drive by the wall of names who could have been saved if only they helped authorities catch murderers a long time ago.

    It could look like this:

Jane Doe,8- Drive by. No witnesses came forward.

John Doe, 16-Drug related execution. No one knows anything.

  19. It's actually very sad to watch the old "I Marched with Martin" crowd of self-appointed self-serving "leaders" endlessly revisit the 1960s when there were real issues like civil and voting rights and serious leaders like MLK, Andy Young, LBJ, and others in the movement and elected office who had the intelligence, perseverance, courage, and will to pursue and achieve accomplishments much bigger than themselves.
If those individuals could see how their dreams have been tarnished and trashed by the current crop of grifters, they would literally weep.
And the condition of the east side of KCMO and other similar parts of cities all across America reflects the failure of clinging endlessly to the past, shaking down productive society for handouts, and celebrating and looking out for yourself, just like this crowd.
Isn't there any serious leadership in the black community who will stick a broomstick into the spokes of this tired old wheel?

  20. Cancel this plan, it's a waste of money.

  21. Everyone in the East Side community nows the real civil rights pioneers and heroes are Sherry DeJanus, Dan Coffeecakes and Pat Toolie. they have worked tirelessly with "anonymous" Onomatopoeia Boy to bring the kind of change and advocacy the Eastside needs, including using money saved from the toy choo folley trolley to do all the things they promised not having toy tain choochiesmoochie would accomplish. Plus they have a mgaical mystery bus plan that they will reveal ANY DAY NOW, as they promised over 1 year ago. This bus system will make all your wildest dreams come true, solve homicides, eliminate poverty and oppression, and even scratch the itchiness between your toes without having to remove your shoes and socks!

  22. Total pork spending. Liberals will convince themselves of anything. If they want to name a sewer line after some of these folks, fine. It's probably more appropriate anyway.

  23. Freedom Memorial Wall.....Bhwaaaaaaaaa

Hang a stalk of bananas from a street light pole at 31st and Benton, it would accomplish more.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Agree that this is just another way to pay off political contacts.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This plan really is a waste of time and money. Mike Sanders needs to resign.
