  3. Mixed emotions for me on two meals per school day at no charge to parent(s)/guardians. Birth to death it is benefitial for all of us to have good health, education and moral modeling.

    FREE BREAKFAST:
Here are the PROs (best case or close):

    1. Low income households get relief on food costs.
    2. Largely adequate nutrition is available.
    3. An organized, scheduled meal time without distractions (tv, games, walking the streets munching snacks not balanced meal).
    4. American farmers (well, big producers too, most likely) increase sales to lunch programs with the additional breakfast food.
    5. Lunch ladies get more of their friends hired or get more clock hours for themselves.
    6. Busy, working Mom/Dad can skip part of the morning grind of kids' breakfast.

    These be the CONS:

    1. Family morning meal togetherness is gone.
    2. Lazy parents/kids shift efforts/responsibility onto others.
    3. Frees up neglectful adults(?) to have more sips and smokes money.
    4. Loads of food going in the garbage, "Dang, we want pop-tarts and an ICEE".

    Ah well, whatcha gonna do?

  6. Local man volunteers to paint fire hydrants in order to spruce up KC neighborhood Hope this good citizen has the color correct and written authorization from city hall to paint the hydrants. Otherwise they're likely going to be cited for illegal painting of city property.
